Delhi, New York
Rippling Waters is a one of a kind 400 acre paradise with a 12 acre Private Lake surrounded by the essence of pristine nature while tucked away in a small valley on a mountaintop. Our property is truly away from it all, so serene, and private that our retired horse Foxy roams free to seize the day as he pleases while our young horses greet him with their magnificent trot as he passes by.
Hike miles of trails and savor our beautiful Lookout Point overlooking the Village of Delhi. Cool off with a Lakeside swim, explore the wildlife with a gentle boat ride, fish for your dinner or simply sit by the Lake..... slow the clock down while you reconnect with the essence of the natural wonders of Rippling Waters.
So secluded yet only a ten minute drive to the village of Delhi where you can enjoy the local cafes, peruse little shops, do a little yoga or take a walk back in time with Delhi's historic architecture and more.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful and tranquil place. It provided a safe and private space to explore and regroup. The terrain was awe inspiring. We’re happy that we stayed here.
We enjoyed our stay in this property, also, it was fun to fish in the lake we had. On my last day of stay i caught so many fishes!!The owners were very nice and caring for their guests as well. We’ll definitely return again ??
We had a great time staying at the Rippling Waters farm. The landscape is beautiful and so are the horses. The lake was a great place for relaxing and fishing. Every day we hiked up the hill to watch the sunset from the lookout. Sitting by the campfire under the stars was magnificent. Overall it was a great and relaxing experience! Thank you to Laura anf Tom for sharing this place with us!
We spent 2 nights here while in town for a wedding. The property is spectacularly beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting out on the little porch in the morning with our coffee and had some fun with a little fishing in the ponds. We also did a short hike up to the lookout area through the nicely maintained trail. Apartment was very nice, only suggestion would be to add some ice cube trays. Room AC worked fine in the bedroom too. The barn part IS an active barn - we were greeted by the sweet older horse on every in and out which was really cute. The hosts were great too. All in all we had a great time and will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay. The horses are the most majestic creatures we've ever had the pleasure to meet. Tom, Laura and Mark were very welcoming and we will definitely be back!
We had an amazing time. The place was beautiful and the horses were sweet. Everyone loved getting to know Foxy. We did catch a few fish. We made it to lookout point and went on the lake a few times, swimming and boating. For a couple days it felt like we were the only people in the world. My daughter had a hard time leaving because she loved it so much.
What an amazing location! My husband, two children and myself had a wonderful time! Foxy Chief the retired horse is so great, he is friendly and kind. We enjoyed feeding him as well as the other three horses. My husband and the kids had many successful fishing days! We fished out of the lake and the back pond. Our son pulled out probably about 40 fish in one day. We caught large mouth bass, perch, catfish, and sun fish. My husband caught a large mouth bass weighing 3 lbs and 14oz! We didn’t get a chance to catch any of the trout, I hear there’s plenty! The kids also enjoyed swimming and going out on the paddle boat, row boat, and I enjoyed the kayak! I hiked on the trials every morning and enjoyed the peace and beautiful surroundings! And once the kids were in bed we enjoyed a cocktail on the serene porch rocking in the chairs. We went into Delhi to a great diner, church on Sunday, and also ventured to Oneonta for some shopping and another diner. Laura and Tom were so kind, and the kids love their son Mark! We truly had a memorable vacation. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven, we’d love to book again!
We spent 3 days at this property with our 4 year old son. This was one of the best/peaceful vacations we have ever had. This stay comes as a package with nature, trails, fun, animals and water activities included. The stay at barn house was fun and my son loved having the super friendly horses around. All of us enjoyed petting and hanging around the horses Foxy,Calidora,Benica and Ina. In fact, my son was obsessed with them and still misses them! If you are a horse lover, you would love this place for sure! The barn house apartment itself was clean and had all required amenities needed for us. It has a beautiful balcony overlooking the lake where we enjoyed having our morning tea listening to birds and just taking in the breathtaking views. The property is beautiful with some trails if you need that morning exercise. We took lot of beautiful pictures at the property. The private lake is too good to be true. You could spend the whole day there relaxing, kayaking, paddling, swimming, fishing or just watching geese. We also enjoyed the nearby towns Delhi and Andes with its super cute stores and farms. Ok, coming to the best part, the hosts! Tom, Laura and their son Mark are great hosts! Besides just being great hosts, they are wonderful people. They inspired us a lot through their stories! We wish them all the best in all the new endeavors!! Overall, this was a 5/5 stay for us!! And we look forward to staying there again!
As soon as you begin your slow ride down the driveway you also begin to reset to a slower more grounded state of being. We were immediately met by our host and given a tour of the accommodations, as well as information about the surrounding area. Throughout our stay Tom and Laura remained reachable, helpful, accommodating as well as just plain nice to chat with! The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, peddle boating, spotting fish, listening to frogs and enjoying the lovely lily pads. We spent one whole day under the big, beautiful blue sky shaded under a perfect tree shifting between reading and napping in a hammock, on the bench, or Adirondack chair and enjoying water activities...a gift of a day! The trails that are on the property are truly amazing and not to be missed. The cherry on top of it all, is that you get to love on the horses. We did plenty of that and won’t soon forget them or the happy hearts they left us with. The final night we were treated to a magnificent sky full of stars from our balcony overlooking the lake, only to be outshone by the most amazing display of fireflies I have ever seen...we had to drag ourselves away to get some sleep for our drive home. This is a magical place that I hope to return to very soon! Thank you Tom and Laura for sharing this beautiful property and all it’s peaceful perfection with us.
Surrounded by nature, this quiet location gave us the opportunity to slow down the clock. Property was well maintained and hosts were kind and attentive. The horses were friendly and just added to the beauty around us. Paddle boat, kayak, fishing and trails all rounded out this amazing stay.
