Amazing place!

What a great property, lake view everywhere you look!

This is a charming unique home built in 1939 with remodeling done. We had an issue with the water heater not working for the first 24 hours, the owner worked to get it replaced. I understand unavoidable things come up, but the owner could have communicated better. I messaged the following day at 2pm saying we could not spend another night without having the ability to shower and it took over 2 hours to get a response. Given we are hot sleepers, I always check there is central vac. There was… just not upstairs where all of the bedrooms were. The property details should be updated to reflect this. We had just two bathrooms for 7 people so we expected it to be tight, but given the finicky septic system the main floor bathroom never once flushed. So it was unusable for toilet facilities. This same system was responsible for the notices around taking really short showers and an encouragement to not use the laundry facilities. Again, I selected the property because we had the ability to do laundry and not come home having to spend all day doing laundry. Given all the other water issues and clear discouragement we didn’t use. The property details when booking should reflect this as an ask. We did appreciate and use the kayaks and the lake itself was a peaceful place to partake in this activity. We paid to have a pontoon delivered which we really enjoyed cruising around the lake with. The fish never bit but that didn’t stop the boys from trying.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. We had fun around the fire and using the water toys!

My husband and I stayed with oir small dog Annie. It was our getaway after the inlaws past away.

Our family loves to travel and this location was one of our top favorites! The uniqueness of the entire property is hard to put into words and the surrounding beauty is breathtaking. Everything was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I would highly recommend this property for a memorable experience.

Gorgeous location! Your own little island to unwind and get back to nature. The sunrises, watching an eagle catch a fish, the busy beaver, and beautiful swans were just a few of our highlights. Definitely a great family getaway.

Easy to get to. Great area. Lots of wineries and restaurants nearby. Beautiful lake and views. Fire pit was a highlight and plenty of room inside. We will come back!

This restored home was very unique and had something for everyone-and there were 7 of us to please! There was plenty of room to spread out. The history provided of the home was so interesting. The views from the home were spectacular from sunrise to sunset. There was kayaking, fishing, and fire pit fun. We also enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife. I will point out that the home is old and had a few old home quirks, but all and all we had a very fun, relaxing experience that we will always fondly remember.

The house has been restored very nicely. The history of the house is intriguing. The grands enjoyed swimming, fishing and kayaking. They said they would like to live there! The beds were comfy which helped all of us have good sleep. We would certainly come again.

We were so surprised to find that Jim’s house was so much more beautiful than the pictures described. Gorgeous house on its own private island. So much room to have fun with my kids. We spend so much time enjoying the kayaks and swimming in the lake. Probably the most peaceful place we’ve stayed in years. Jim was attentive to our needs, and communication was excellent. Well stocked kitchen and rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay many times over if budget allowed.
