Our guests had a fantastic time, and the house was equipped with everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, making our experience even better. Stayed Aug 17, 2025We all enjoyed our time on the lake and love that the hosts made kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, helmets, and life jackets in all sizes available without our having to bring everything with us. The house is very clean, smartly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation here. The house is beautiful and clean! The kitchen is fully stocked. Vanessa provided us with everything we needed. The home is in a perfect location. There is so much to do both in the Bear Creek community as well as the Jim Thorpe area. The kids enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, and pool table at the house.Vanessa is very responsive and provided us with information about the house and Jim Thorpe prior to our stay.We would definitely come back again in the future!

Stayed Oct 24, 2024Nice property - great view and access to lake. Very responsive manager. Pickleball players note - there were two courts with pickleball lines - one with no net and one with tennis net. Luckily we had our own net.

Stayed Oct 6, 2024We had a wonderful and relaxing visit at this home on Bear Creak Lake. The home was spotless and so well-equipped with everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and we had some refreshing walks in this very quiet neighborhood. The owners were immediately responsive when we had a question about the dishwasher and with their help, we had no trouble. I would definitely stay in this home in the future - I would rate it top- patch!

Stayed Sep 19, 2024BEAR CREEK RETREAT is a fantastic home! Perfect location with beautiful views of the lake. The host has thought of EVERYTHING to make you feel at home. Beautifully decorated, super comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen with towels and linens for all the guests. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family and really would never have had to leave the house! New family memories were made around the firepit, fishing in the lake, kayaking and hiking. Weather couldn't have been better to fully enjoy our long weekend! Thank you, Vanesa and Jon for sharing this wonderful relaxing retreat with us!

Stayed Aug 24, 2024This house had everything we could have asked for...right down to a bag of marshmallows for s'mores! The inside was beautiful, beds comfy, and fully stocked kitchen. We had a great time playing pool, darts and sitting around the fire pit at night. We relaxed by the lake while the kids spent the day kayaking and canoeing around the lake. The area is secluded and we didn't have to leave the house at all. Would definitely book this house again!

It has a Beautiful backyard with easy lake access with a beach and dock. And it’s close to Jim Thorpe. The hosts are wonderful and can’t say enough good things about it.

Stayed Jul 15, 2024My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay at Bear Creek Lake retreat! The lakefront house is absolutely beautiful and is equipped with everything we needed. The host checked in with us and made us feel very welcome. The lake is perfect for swimming, floating and kayaking. We also enjoyed playing tennis at the recreational center (passes were included). Highly recommend!
