Private access to the water,quiet, in town location on the beautiful Shore Path!

We came to Bar Harbor to visit my son who is here working seasonally, this house is in a wonderful location to walk everywhere throughout downtown and along the shore path. The house is super cozy, with big windows in the common spaces and a nice cozy kitchen. Bedrooms were all very comfortable. Friendliness and communication with the host was super impressive and we would definitely recommend staying here and we would stay here again anytime we would get a chance to visit the area. We left a day earlier than planned so we would have a chance to explore Portland, I was so sad to leave!

This was our 5th vacation in Bar Harbor. It was just the two of us and two friends. At our last stay in 2022, we rented the Shore Path Cottage for a 50th wedding anniversary with 13 family members. This is next door to the Birds Nest. We learned then what a perfect location these two properties share, right on the Shore Path. We also got to know the family who owns them. They are so warm, welcoming and responsive to their guests' needs. Both houses are well maintained and clean. We highly recommend both.

This was a great place to stay to explore Bar Harbor! Quietly set on a back street but looking at the water. An easy and beautiful walk into town made our days easy and peaceful. It was cute and clean and perfect for our trip!

The home was in a great location to walk everywhere. Comfortable living room and kitchen was nicely supplied with all essentials.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great and within walking distance of almost everything. It was a plus to have washer and dryer in our unit.

The Bird's Nest is in the perfect location--easily walkable to downtown Bar Harbor but on a very quiet street well away from the bustle and crowds. Also, easy access to the Shore Path and a nice view of the harbor from the chairs on the lawn. The house was very comfortable for five adults, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room had plenty of seating. The host was extremely responsive and helpful as well. We couldn't be happier.

Amazing spot in Bar Harbor! Perfect location; close to the water/town. It was the best place to crash after a long day in Acadia NP. I hope we can visit again!

The Bird’s Nest was amazing! With beautiful views of the water and access to the Shore Path. Bar Harbor and Acadia Park with both unforgettable. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect location with easy access to downtown shops one way & shoreline path the other. Quick walk to the free downtown bus that takes you into Acadia Natl Park, and or for a quick drive to everything within the park. Home was equipped with most everything needed. Just like home away from home. We did bring a Keurig coffee maker & used that, plus the regular drip coffee maker provided. Host was friendly & kind. Wonderful vacation! Would definitely recommend Bird’s Nest cottage & hope to stay there again.

We loved our stay at the Bird's Nest! It was quiet, had a gorgeous distance view of the bay, plenty of off street parking and extra amenities. The owners were very personable and had great recommendations for places to eat, things to do with the kids and other towns to go visit during our stay. The house has all of the basics you need when you first check in: TP, paper towel, hand soap, etc. and linens, which was so nice to not have to bring along! The beds were comfortable and the upstairs laundry was amazing. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to cook family meals. The location of this house couldn't be better. It was likely the only rental in the area with direct access to the shore path, which was nice for our daily walks down to play on the rocky shore. This was also great because it went directly over to the marina which made it really easy to get to our early morning whale watch and puffin cruise. Not only is this house close to the shore path, but it's right in town, down a quiet side street and very close to one of the busiest shopping and restaurant intersections. So, it was also easy for walking around town. The Bird's Nest shares a driveway with another rental property that is managed by the same owner, which was a bit confusing for us when we arrived, but it didn't end up impacting our stay at all. There are separate parking and entrance areas to each property, so a family looking for privacy and quiet time together can still have it.

We enjoyed our stay at the home, the property, the nearby shops & restaurants, easy access to the beautiful shore path views and access to Acadia National Park!

Communication was key!!! I was worried about the listing because it no longer showed on VRBO. I sent several messages to Ms. Roberta and she answered very promptly! Property was exactly as advertised. The view to the bay isn’t seen from Bird’s Nest but so close to walk to Shore Path! Blaze restaurant literally down the street and great atmosphere and food! Leary’s Irish pub also fun! Cafe this way was great spot to have breakfast including Bloody Mary’s!! Within walking distance to everything! Suggest the bike tour with Island Bike! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bird's Nest. It was enough space for our family of 5 and the location was perfect. The owner was responsive and the house was clean and well-maintained, If we are ever fortunate enough to visit Bar Harbor again, we would love to stay here.

This was our first trip to Bar Harbor and we definitely picked the right unit. Super convenient to all the shops and restaurants yet just far enough away to enjoy the quiet. The short walk to the Shore Path was a bonus. Loved it!

Could not have asked for a better location to experience Bar Harbor. We experienced the sunrise from the Shore Path which is at the end of the yard every morning. Walking into town was easy even in brisk weather. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else!

We really enjoyed our stay! Super comfortable, conveniently located. We had a small issue with the hot water at one point, but it was quickly resolved - within a few hours on a Saturday evening, so it ended up being just a minor inconvenience. We would certainly recommend this as a play to stay in Bar Harbor!

Everything as advertised. Location to downtown was perfect. Unit was in great shape. Felt like home.
