Prime Hook Retreat - Amazing View of the Refuge - Beach Access Across the Street

Clean house, great neighborhood, tons of room! Love the beach access and the wildlife! Would for sure stay here again!!

Property was exactly as described in the listing. Super clean, amazing views, and great spaces for relaxing! Location was great - quiet private beach but less than an hour from the more commercial beach towns and historic areas. My husband and I loved our stay.

Retreat is an accurate description of this property. It's very spacious and is adjacent to a wild life refuge. It was very quiet. One thing that really impressed us was how many stars we could see in the night sky. Across the street is what I would describe as a natural beach. We walked over 5 miles one day on the beach without encountering any other people. The house was clean and features many amenities including a full size air hockey table in the game room.

You’re never sure renting a place based off pictures, this place was exactly like the pictures. Very clean and welcoming. I was a little worried about being so far from everything, but I worried for nothing! There was everything we needed in either direction for a short 20-30 minute ride. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The sunset over the preserve was absolutely beautiful. The area was quiet with very little to no traffic. I will definitely rent again.

Extremely clean and well equipped. We had a great stay! The only thing we weren’t prepared for was that the grill was charcoal and not gas.

Great views from both sides-refuge one side and ocean bay on the other. Roomy, plenty of places to relax and gather.

Loved the location and the roomy size. Very well appointed. The sun porch was the go to place. One thing that I think should be of interest to own is that the. Heatpump should be serviced. Very noisy . Also the heater in the sun room wasn’t responding to settings and it took awhile to come on. All of us would return for another visit. The house is set up to easily work for families with children and pets. Plenty of space to shake the sand from feet or shoes.

Very quiet neighborhood which is what me and my wife and I was looking for. The house was super clean and organized. Host were super easy to talk to and responded very quickly and accurately.

This was the second time we stayed at this home. We love staying here.

The house is beautiful. Clean and spacious. Great views of the bay out back and a short walk to the beach. I can't think of anything bad to say, it was just perfect.

House was super clean and well appointed. Communication with owner was excellent. I am a passionate birdwatcher and the view from the back deck are amazing. Saw short-eared owls working the marsh at dusk.

Hosts were very accommodating and quick with responses when we reached out. We loved the property as well as prime hook - our first time visiting. Would absolutely go back again!

The hosts were great, the place was very clean, the location was great. We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend there. The only surprise was that the second bathroom was not located on the living floor where all 4 bedrooms are located, but on the lower level. With 6 people, this was not very convenient.

A very clean, spacious, and well designed home in a beautiful location featuring lovely views of both the nature preserve and Delaware bay. Great communication with owners and easy check in process. Can't wait to visit again!

Prime Hook was bright and clean with a great quiet location. Short walk to beach. Short drive to Tanger outlets and antique shops. Overall it was THE PERFECT spot for our girls weekend

Came for a nice relaxing weekend and got just that. The house is a convenient short walk across the street from the beach. We had 2 really windy days which actually helped with the mosquitoes. The beach was covered in seaweed, which was a slight bummer but was still pleasant for walks with our dog. The neighborhood is peaceful and people were friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Great house! The AC was cool when the heat and humidity were too much. Very comfortable and spacious house! Everyone had room to spread out. We had extended family over for dinner and game night and we had plenty of room. The yard was nice for the dogs. The beach was very close. The sunsets off the back balcony were beautiful!! We love PHB!! It’s so relaxing and quiet. The biggest problem we found were the bugs…. They were terrible- the worst we have seen. We were glad to have such a comfortable house to hang out in. We hope to return!!

It was a wonderful week at a wonderful home. We felt that it really fit our needs well for the week and was wonderfully equipped with all we needed to feel at home.

Great house, cool location, easy week.

Property was away from the crowd. Quite. The large sunroom was our favorite place. Beach was across the road. Make sure to have bug spray, they were bad.

What a spectacular stay! The location could not be more gorgeous. We walked back and forth to the beach dozens of times a day (very helpful when you’re traveling with a toddler and a bigger group!) and adored the bird watching and nearby trails. We took advantage of the beach toys, and the wonderful selection of games, and made family meals in the kitchen. We did end up having to drive into town for some supplies (they were out of cooking oil, laundry detergent, and the grill lighter was out of lighter fluid), but we didn’t mind—just want to make sure everyone knows to bring what you need. A few of our party have bad backs and struggled some with the pillows and mattresses, but we loved the place so much we’d come back even with the achey backs. Watching the sun set over the marshes from the little balcony, and the sun rise from the sun room on the plush, comfy couches more than made up for it. A perfect home for a family vacation.

Would definitely choose it again! It was the best provisioned VRBO I’ve ever stayed in.

This property was perfect for a weekend away and we feel we’ve discovered a new location we’ll be returning to in the future! The house was everything we hoped and the hosts both friendly and very communicative.

Such a beautiful spot between the wildlife refuge and the Bay! Very comfortable house with everything we needed, spectacular sunsets and quick walk across the quiet road to the beach. Owners were responsive and helpful. So nice to be able to have our dog with us. We’ve stayed in several houses on this stretch of Prime Hook and this was our favorite.

Home is beautiful with marsh behind you and the beach in front of you! Home has views all around and home has everything you need.
