Stayed Sep 20, 2025This is a peaceful rural location in a small picturesque village. The village has a number of facilities including a shop, coffee shop, bar tabac and a few simple restaurants. It is very well located for visiting different locations in the Dordogne. The house is well equipped. The garden is lovely. We were very unlucky with the weather so we could not take advantage of the outside space but our dog loved the space and was very happy playing with Christiane’s dog. There aren’t laundry facilities at the property as described in the listing. The host is very nice and speaks good English. We are in our late 70s so a single upstairs bathroom was a bit of a challenge especially for my wife who is slightly handicapped. Overall we had a good holiday but not the weather we hoped for.

Stayed Jul 5, 2025IDYLLIC PROPERTY, ALL AS DESCRIBED , LOVELY HOME IN A LOVELY SETTING , FABULOUS POOL AREA , 2 MINS WALK INTO A LOVELY VILLAGE THAT HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED, AND CHRISTIANE THE PERFECT HOST , NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE . CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN

Stayed May 31, 2025We had a wonderful week in Ste Alvere. Great to be near to the village with good restaurants but also at a property with a lovely garden and pool. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed Sep 7, 2024We enjoyed a relaxing 12 days at Christiane’s lovely property making the most of the outdoor seating options and large peaceful grounds. Our dog enjoyed playing with Swing, Christiane’s dog. Christiane was very helpful and hospitable and gave some great recommendations for local sights.

Stayed May 25, 2024We had a very nice relaxing vacation. The location was situated very near the heart of the village. Two bakeries and restaurants- pharmacie- a bar - a little shop and the wonderful small market on monday. The house was very lovely and the garden with the pool super. Christiane is very hospitable and Monsieur Swing - her dog - adopted us and Brioche - our dog. For us it was a wonderful vacation. Thank you - Christiane and of course kisses for Swing......

Stayed Sep 2, 2023We had a fabulous stay with a fabulous host. Christiane took care of all our needs and recommended some great local sights to visit. We enjoyed a meal with her friends and our dog loved to play with her lovely spaniel Swing. It felt like visiting family and we could completely relax. It was a much needed rest and qe appeeciated the space and pool.
