Luxury self-catering accommodation with private pool (2 Bedrooms, sleeps 5)

This gite has a private, heated pool, not far from Le Bugue and Bergerac in a peaceful rural location in the Dordogne, close to the heart of the Dordogne's numerous tourist attractions.

The private heated pool and hot tub have a beautiful view over the valley and village of St Laurent des Batons, surrounded by decking and with shower and sun loungers.

Be one of the first to stay in our 200 year old barn converted into a well equipped, comfortable self-catering gite, with 2 bathrooms, one en-suite, sleeping up to 5 people.

PLEASE NOTE We live discreetly on site in the adjoining farmhouse. Being on site means we can provide you with help finding or booking restaurants, canoeing, markets or anything else you may need. Alternatively, we will just ensure the pool and gardens are maintained to a high standard and leave you to your own devices!

The main area is an open plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen area.

There is a private entrance with separate parking, newly established garden and a private, heated 8x5m pool with a beautiful view.

We are situated to the north of Perigord Noir, the heart of the Dordogne, minutes away from both the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. A peaceful rural location situated just 10 km south of Vergt, 10 km north of Sainte Alvère and 24km north of Le Bugue with their numerous tourist attractions, weekly markets and a selection of supermarkets.

Inside

We have provided everything we would hope to find in a brand new fully equipped fitted kitchen - full size cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, food processor, cooks knives, serving dishes, kettle, teapot, coffee maker and all cooking utensils. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

New 49 flat screen HD TV, satellite TV (with all English free to air channels), and a DVD player. We have an up to 20MB broadband connection with WiFi and a good 3G mobile signal. We've included a Bluetooth speaker to play your music from your laptop, phone or music player. There is also a large selection of books, puzzles and games.

To minimise the amount of luggage you need to bring (especially for those flying) all bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price, including pool towels. A travel cot is available, but we do not supply linen for it.

There is a mobile air conditioning unit and a portable fan in the upstairs bedroom and a ceiling fan is provided in the downstairs bedroom.

Smoking: in the interest of safety and the comfort of subsequent guests, we kindly request that you refrain from smoking inside the gite.

A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are provided in the kitchen and smoke alarms are fitted.

2 Bedrooms - sleeping up to 5 adults.

1 x king size bed - with en-suite shower room.

2x single beds, with an additional day bed (this room can be made into a double bed if required).

Family bathroom with bath and shower over the bath. Perfect for adults and children.

Hairdryers are located in both rooms.

The upstairs bedroom has a high ceiling with exposed beams and is accessed by stairs.

Blinds are included in both rooms - ideal for putting the kids to bed.

Outside

The heated, private pool for sole use by our guests, is 8x5m and 1.4m deep with steps providing easy access and is in full sunshine for most of the day with views over the valley and the village of St Laurent des Batons. It conforms with all French pool security regulations and, for added security and peace of mind, the pool is surrounded by decking and set in a fully fenced pool area. We also have a four-person hot tub next to the pool.

Our pool is a traditional chlorinated pool, checked and maintained daily, to ensure bather comfort. The hot tub is also checked daily.

There are sun loungers and umbrellas in this area to ensure that you get all the sun or shade you desire.

Solar heated shower.

All pool maintenance is undertaken by Dean. You're on holiday – there’s nothing for you to do (unless you really want to).

There is parking for two cars next to the barn.

The gite has a terrace with a charcoal barbecue, wooden table, umbrella and chairs. There is a private seating area overlooking the valley as well.

There are stunning views over the surrounding countryside from the gite, terrace and pool. The newly established garden around the barn is for sole use by gite guests, with some trees offering shade.

Some garden maintenance (yes grass cutting and watering) will be necessary during your stay - but we’ll endeavour to do this whilst you are out and about.

We are surrounded by open fields and woods - excellent for an evening stroll.
