PRD 888 Ponderosa Cabin

This is the second time I've rented this house for my daughter bday/ girl trip. This time they brought the boys too. Love this house perfectvspot to chill and swim. Can't wait to come again.

We loved the house. It was very roomy and comfortable. We cooked every meal and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent most of our time outside on the different deck levels. The floating dock and ladder made it easy to get into the river with our flats. So relaxing! Our grandkids caught a lot of fish from the dock. Our whole family had a great time and we never turned the tv on once!

Close enough to other areas. Spent a day in Gruene - fantastic! And downtown New Braunfels has the biggest antique shop I have ever been to! This place was the perfect get away. Only negatives were king bed was uncomfortable. Positives- New Braunfels Escapes was great to work with.

We visited Schlitterbahn, and went tubing on the river with a local tubing company. And we also put the kayaks at the house to work every single day. We had a cookout on the barbeque outside. It was just a perfect retreat for our family. Can't thank the owners and management company enough.

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed to be in the area for a number of months to help with family and were very glad to find such a nice place on the river. We were very comfortable and had any and everything we needed. If anything came up all we had to do was call. Everyone we dealt with in the office were wonderful and everything was dealt with in a timely manner . We enjoyed our stay very much and never got tired of the wonderful view of the river just out the windows. We saw an abundance of wildlife— foxes, woodducks, deer and even a porcupine. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was well equipped; the best part was the outside decks, kayaks and the dock on the river.

Reviewer Comments: Clean property, have stayed at other properties that advertised basic cookware would be in the kitchen and had much better experiences elsewhere. Probably best to just not advertise anything is in the kitchen at all and all guests bring their own items. Otherwise pretty classic labels all over the house about what not to touch/move/use and the fines associated, chore list on checkout day, etc. don’t bring white trash bags because black trash bags are only allowed for some reason, that made it a bit difficult to try and get all the trash in the 2 bags provided simply because white trash bags aren’t allowed and wasn’t advertised and that’s what we brought.

The property is very clean and has everything you need to get away and relax on the Guadalupe River.

We stayed here during our annual friends float trip. The house is in a great location, has lots of space inside and out. We had 8 adults and stayed comfortably in the space. We were able to float from little ponderosa back to the house and get it at the floating dock with was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Very memorable vacation! Great place for our family, hopefully return soon.

We have been going for 8 years and this is our favorite. The staffing experience has been great as well. Highly recommended.

Cabin was spotless and organized. My family and I enjoyed ourselves so much. Hope to do it again in the future!
