Potter's Place | House in Jamaica with mountain views

This property was a perfect home base for our family of three while visiting our friends in Jamaica. We hadn't noted the occupancy limit prior to booking, and were disappointed that they were firm on the number, but I think this helped to maintain the quality of the property and peace of the area. The views from the deck and bedrooms were serene and beautiful, and there was plenty of privacy and space around the house. The home was very clean and was stocked with a bunch of linens (something other properties said they would supply and then didn't!). There was a rain storm our first night there and when we woke up there were ants in the kitchen but the vacasa team was super responsive and sent us ant traps, which resolved the issue for the rest of our stay. We felt so at home and comfortable at this property. Would definitely recommend!!

This house was perfect for what we needed. We love camping at Jamaica State Park but had a 6 month old with us this year. The campsite was 5 minutes away. We had a campsite that we visited and stayed at during the day and most of the night but went back to the house for sleeping purposes. Great views.

Loved the location and the house was charming and comfortable. The location was also fine. The only problem was that the water went out and the company managing the property wasn’t responding to online communications, which they stated was their preferred method of communication. Once I realized that they were not responding, I called and someone started working on a resolution but by then it was too late in the day to get someone to come out to troubleshoot the problem. We were eventually moved to another property, which wasn’t as nice.

Stayed at this lovely home for a short weekend trip in the winter. Very convenient location, clean and well kept. Be sure to have AWD and proper tires if you visit in the winter!

The house was clean, beds were comfortable and the area is very quiet. The deck was a very nice. Unfortunately the gas fireplace didn’t work. It actually looked like there were pieces missing which was disappointing because it was the final reason I chose this house. Also, there’s a dishwasher but no dish soap provided. The water pressure in the shower is a little more than a trickle.

The house was warm, clean, peaceful and comfortable for our short stay. We were in VT to ski at Stratton but I would love to come back in other seasons to explore the nearby state parks. I would gladly stay at this property again.

Everything was just right at Potter's Place. The owner's thought of everything the guests would need to enjoy their stay. It is quiet and peaceful and my 2 dogs just loved the ample outdoor space. The bedding is very comfortable, plenty of extra cozy blankets and throws. Awesome gas fireplace for ambiance at night. Great outdoor deck to work remotely as well.
