Everything you want in a VRBO. Hosts attentive and informative without being overbearing. The house is extremely cute and comfortable, and the setting is gorgeous.

We loved our stay so much we decided to come back for another weekend. After renting a few other places I very much appreciate the at home feel this place has. It feels more like a home than a rental, which makes a huge difference. Nice spice options and quality cutlery in the kitchen helped me cook without compromise. The hot tub next to the river and starry night was beyond relaxing and a highlight after a long ski day. So relaxing! We will be back again!

This house was exactly what our family needed and all members in our family left happy. The house is filled with games galore, kitchen was very well equipped and location is perfect. Personally I love being lulled to sleep by a faint sounds of a gorgeous flowing stream and apparently my kids do too. There is an amazing country store (Provisions) less than a mile up the road that bakes fresh breads & cookies (chocolate chip one is sooo good) and has a crazy craft beer and wine selection. The house is a very easy drive to Stratton Mountain and is on a very quiet street. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks!

My family and I had a wonderful weekend at Karen’s cabin! We loved the coziness of the location nestled back in the woods. And the creek that runs behind the property is so beautiful, especially on this prime fall foliage weekend. It was easy to get to and Karen also suggested that we stop for dinner down the road from the house at the West Townsend Country Store which was such a fun outdoor scene with live music, wood fired pizza, farm stands and lots of open space for the kids to run around. I think they have that every Friday night and we would definitely go back again. On Sat, we went to Stratton which was a quick easy drive. We took the gondola up the mountain for a beautiful scenic view of the foliage and then hiked down most of the way before grabbing a sandwich from the deli at the bottom. Back at the house, we made dinner and got to enjoy the hot tub on the back deck overlooking the creek. On Sunday we grabbed some goodies from the cutest local grocer, West River Provisions - just a few mins from the house - and then hit the road back home. Karen’s house had everything we needed. If you’re looking for an authentic VT getaway, this is your spot!
