Portside Villa Luxury Rental on Lake Gaston

Beautiful lake front home. The lake was visiable from the house, because it is early spring and no leaves on the trees yet. The home was very private and was perfect for a family weekend to celebrate a 60th birthday. Large bedroom with multiple beds does not have a bathroom attached. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs and across the house. Visted a local winery nearby. This home is not close to any resturants. Truly enjoyed the home.

This is a wonderful house for a large group! Very kid friendly with spacious rooms and bathrooms that easily accommodated different sleeping schedules. The lot itself isn’t ideal for swimming in the lake as it’s a bit shallow off the dock and the water can be stagnant. But perfect for fishing and kayaking!

This is a beautiful home sitting on a very nice secluded cove at Lake Gaston. The water is about 4-5 feet deep and we used the floats ans kayaks provided. Very comfortably held our entire family with the 6 bedrooms. The kitchen has many upgrades and made for good times. We loved hanging out on the deck and in the water all day and at night we loved the attached gazebo right off the dining/kitchen area. The master bathroom is significantly upgraded. Also there is a super cool ice cream shop and animal farm just a mile or two away. Convienent to Bracey Va and easy access to shopping. Owner/management team very friendly, easy to reach, and really made us feel good about our stay. Would visit again for sure.

Great house for family. Plenty of room for rain days.

The house is large and well kept. The main living spaces are open with very high ceilings so they can get loud with a big group, but you can still find a quiet room or outdoor space. Bedrooms are large and all but one have an attached bath. The dock/boathouse was great for our boat and kayaks, well protected from boat wakes, wind, and current. Maintenance issues were handled quickly. Only negative is that the house is pretty far back in the cove so the water is shallow for swimming (no diving!) and the bottom is mucky. But it's a short kayak or boat ride to a lot of nice places to anchor or tie up and swim. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we have a similarly large group.

The house was beautiful, there were things like a fan on the porch, the misting system that were not working. We were unable to figure out how to play the TV in the pool table room and multiple toilets kept running or did not flush well. The cove was shallow, we had a boat so we could go out to the deeper water to float. I was disappointed with the little things.

The venue is very spacious for large groups. I always received timely responses regardless of time of day. From the pictures I thought we would have lake views, but unfortunately it does not. The water is not deep but was fine for the pontoon.
