Port Aransas Lost Colony home - pool access & Gulf views, steps to beach

The property has a wonderful view of the beach, easy access to the walkway however it needs a lot of maintenance inside and out. Beware of fire ants mounds all around the property. Dishwasher doesn’t clean, fridge temp was warm and took a while to cool off. No bedsheets given for the pull out sofa bed, I would recommend bringing a mattress cover. The shower on main floor does not drain well. AC vents very dusty and not screwed in properly. It was a good find for booking last minute but will not reserve again.

Great location south of town and beach was a very short walk for us! Lack of things like garbage bags, dishwasher detergent (even one) and a dish scrubber were a bit inconvenient. The dishwasher was not in good shape. Overall though, the location is why you're there and that gets a 10 out of 10!

Loved the property, will definitely stay again for next visit. More than enough room for our family.

The house itself was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed, but the ability to walk down to beach in less than 90 seconds was the best thing ever. Don't have to worry about forgetting something cause it's so easy to just pop back up or come and go from the beach. The pool was a great feature also. The whole enclave of houses was cute and friendly and well kept. So easy to drive into Port A for groceries or restaurants. It was our best Port A trip hands down out of a total of 5.

The house is about a 30 second walk to the beach and has two decks both with terrific views. Great little neighborhood perfectly situated halfway between Corpus and Port A for a convenient 15 minute drive to both.

We had a great time! The house was in a great location with amazing views of the water. The house itself has a few things that are dated or couple be replaced, but the views and access to the beach made up for that. It’s hard to find water views like this for a good price in port A! And with two little kids who need constant potty breaks or a nap, getting back to the house from the beach was a breeze.

Just perfect. 2 minute stroll to the beach and excellent views from master bedroom patio. It was the better then any other best choice in my families opinion

Upgrades to the inside are really nice need to fix WiFi router that was it

Great location, easy walk to beach, but lacking in amenities. Dishwasher didn’t work well, toaster caught fire, subpar cooking an equipment, dirty.

This nicely decorated, spacious home was a great place to get away for the weekend. There is plenty to do with the beach and pool steps from this house.

Family came from Korea. We enjoyed this trip so much. We will come back next time 100%

Water was shut off when we arrived. General disrepair. Stains on the bed. Bugs around

Where do I start? Let’s start on Tuesday 5days before my trip where I contacted the host to inform them about the hurricane in the gulf and how it may affect the trip, never heard back from anyone until Thursday, and that is because I messaged them again. When I spoke to the representative on the phone I was assured my rental was still good and I am to continue my trip as planned with no remorse regarding the safety of my family. I was told I DO NOT get a refund. Come Saturday my destination issued a manadatory evacuation in which I did reach out to hosts AGAIN, and was told the same thing that I am to continue my trip as planned even though I’m telling the representative about the evacuation. I was told that an email or text will go out if something changes. Sunday morning (da of the trip) I reach out again and wait for a response waited hours with no response so I drove to my destination. When I showed up the house was complete disaster!!! Was not cleaned, all bedding was in balls on floor, there was sand throughout the entire rental, dirty dishes in sink, no toilet paper, no paper towels, no clean bedding or clean towels. They didn’t do anything to prep for my family’s visit. I reached out to the host via text and someone apologized for the non cleaning and said someone should contact me right away. Well the next day comes and it’s late afternoon and no one has reached out, no one has come by the property, so I message again. Please contact me ASAP

My family loved being steps from the beach and pool, but also away from the hum of Port Aransas. We plan to return to this exact spot.
