Stayed Apr 3, 2026Quarters B was better than all expectations. We leave in gratitude for the wildlife of the Puget Sound that we were privileged to see, the mountain across the sound, Oscar the Bird King, and the comfort of a period appropriate keepers house. We wanted for nothing and did not even get in the car to go to town.

Stayed Mar 13, 2026What an adventure! Crazy snow storm with a power outage (shout out to all the amazing folks involved in making sure we stayed cozy and safe) then gorgeous sunny/clear weather after. Epic views all around and literally steps to the water. We adored this place and would 100000% stay here again. Mohssaine the caretaker was SO nice to chat with. Eric went above and beyond and Cheryl was a delight to communicate with. 10 stars.

Stayed Feb 18, 2026The sweetest house right on the beach. I might’ve even worn my slippers with my morning coffee sitting on a log right outside the door.

Stayed Jan 31, 2026This restored home is a treasure and the surrounding beach, lighthouse, view of the majestic mountain, which changes all day and evening long, the incoming rush of the tide, the bald eagles perching on tree limbs -- a feast for the senses. It's quiet and also so full of life!

Stayed Dec 15, 2025The lighthouse quarters is historical, beautiful and inspiring to be in. Back to another era! House literally in the water! Stunning. The Keeper next door was lovely to talk with, there if we needed anything! I am always going back.

Stayed Nov 24, 2025This is a beautiful location with stunning views that is quick and easy to get to from Seattle, yet feels like a real get-away! The charming, historic, waterfront house is very close to the lighthouse, and in the same park as Oscar the Bird King, one of the 6 giant wooden troll sculptures in the PNW. There are plenty of places to explore, shop, and eat on Vashon. And it is affordable!

Stayed Nov 14, 2025This little place is darling! We loved the period details—down to an old-fashioned apron in the closet. Beautiful views out the window to the water.

Stayed Sep 7, 2025House was clean and charming with a great view and lighthouse and troll nearby. However, the shower was in an old clawfoot tub with high sides, so was impossible for me to use.

Stayed Jun 22, 2025We have stayed here multiple times and this time was just as magical as all the other times. We had the great fortune of seeing orcas, otters, seals, herons, and the Low Tide Festival, too! Make sure you get a reservation at May’s for the best Thai food around.

Stayed May 22, 2025A beautiful historic property with sweeping views. The home is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple or small family. We enjoyed walking the beach and trails and taking in the spectacular view from the porch. We saw eagles, osprey, heron, and many other birds and wildlife. Truly a fantastic getaway.

Stayed Apr 21, 2025This is such a unique location: there was an abundance of nature - herons, seals, birds, lilacs, tulips (it is Spring in the PNW) and unepected views of Mt. Rainier amid the tug boats, ships, and planes that passed by within sight. Quarterhouse B was ideal for settling in and relaxing. It seems intentionally simple, extremely functional, and is delightful. Everything worked, the place was spotless, the kitchen very usable. We felt well welcomed by the caretaker and knew we could call on him with any questions. We would gladly return!

Stayed Nov 19, 2024Loved most things about this place! Very clean with great kitchen and nicely decorated with period furniture. I have 2 minor criticisms that I feel almost guilty mentioning, but since this is an honest review I want to mention them. The furniture in the living room looks like it should be there but is not very comfortable. We had stormy weather during our stay so we used this furniture for most of a day and it left a lot to be desired. Also, the tub/shower looked great but the hose for the shower portion of the plumbing was not long enough to allow you to hold it above your head (and no place to hook it as a shower head). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
