Highly recommend! The place was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. It was just us (and our furbaby) but is a great layout for 2 couples. Well appointed, very comfortable and great location. And the property manager, Melissa, was outstanding with her customer service. We will gladly rent again. It is also close to the Guadalupe River Side Trail, nice trail for a morning hike.

Quiet and clean property.

The check-in experience was excellent, fast and easy. Very clean home with great space. Very quiet and relaxing area and yet close to everything for vacationing.

As advertised, nice place to enjoy the hill country and river.

Great little place to relax with nature and unwind from the big city. Watch the deer grazing in your front and back yard while enjoying coffee or a drink on the nice patio.

Hands down the best value for the area. Spacious and clean with a lot of room outside as well! Easy to book and well stocked. I was unaware of the poultry yard next door which was a bit much between 4 a.m. - 6 a.m. but the value just can't be beat.

The property was so cute and perfect for 2 couples! It was spacious and cozy. We saw deer crossing while sitting on the back porch relaxing. We did feel that some areas could have been cleaned better, but it was mostly nice and clean. We had a fantastic weekend, and would visit this adorable place again.

Overall our stay at this house was pleasant.We didn't enjoy the front porch because the dog next door was barking most of the time.

Great house beautiful hill country

We enjoyed our stay at the Playin Hooky house. The beds were very comfy. Beautiful hill country setting. The neighbor has a rooster that woke us up. The house is immaculate. Very nice!

The house is clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and private. Property is conveniently located near restaurants and grocery stores. You are also near New Braunfels/Gruene and not far from San Antonio.We had one incident where the Texas Water Co. had a water main break and we were without water for 12 hours. Dakota at HCPL was very helpful and sympathetic. We were taken by surprise at how low the lake is. Canyon Lake has been in a drought for 5 years and the lake is at an all time low. All the parks and landings were closed. We were also surprised at how seriously the limit on number of people allowed was taken. We were left feeling that we could not invite a friend over for dinner or a visit.

Property is just as advertised. Clean and quiet. I would stay there again. The TV only has streaming, and it was difficult for me to get live TV (game) to stream. I’d recommend adding an antenna for local channels or a simple basic cable package. But if you’re coming in the summer for the lake that’s not important.

The location is nice as is the home. The furnishings are decent enough, and the guest clean-up requirements are not onerous.Communication was great leading up to our stay. The prop mgmt company let us know that a new TV remote would be delivered due to an accident with the previous guest. Not an issue, and we got the remote connected to the TV easily.We had an event the night of our check-in, so, while we'd dropped our stuff off, we didn't have a chance to check out the rest of the house. When we went to get in bed late that night, we discovered that the bed frame supporting the king bed in the main room was broken to the point where the king bed was unusable. We made the property mgmt aware of this the following morning - they were initially responsive and appreciative that we let them know, but as soon as I suggested that we receive a partial refund due to the inconvenience (and considering that we had passed over less costly options specifically due to this home having a king size bed), RADIO SILENCE FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.Hopefully they've fixed the issue. They never provided anything more than a thank you for sharing... and then offered to reach out to the prop owner about it. I still haven't heard from them again, even post-checkout.It should've been an easy fix and a great review, but, so long as they are unwilling to even respond to an actual customer issue, I'll do my best to avoid any properties managed by Hill Country Premier Lodging in the future.

This 2-bedroom, 2-bath did not disappoint. It is quite large, and was very comfortable to stay in.

Absolutelybwhat you see on the listing. Casual comfort and nice. Deer in Yard every morning and night. Such a delight. We left Florida during Helene HIRRI ANE IN florida. This was a blessing for peace. The Host was great. Easy Payment on line and understanding the contract. I would love to come back.

Not only was this property beautiful, spacious, and clean it was amazingly quiet. The home must be well insulated because we did not wake up one time because of outside noises. Very comfortable accommodations make this property a good choice for any age group. I loved the nice hill you drive up to get to the property. We would love to come back again.

We wanted a place to stay at Canyon Lake for a short visit. This house was perfect for my sister and me. It is a great location and well maintained. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We rented this property due to its location to Whitewater Amphitheater. Its the perfect size, great location and the scenery was gorgeous. We enjoyed several herds of visiting deer. Grab some corn if you want them to stay around!
