Platte River Getaway

It was a great visit. Clean property, gorgeous location with platte river wrapping around three sides of the house.

Love this place. Been coming up here every summer for 10 years now. The coho fishing was fantastic. Couldn’t be a more beautiful setting. Feels like coming home.

Platte River Getaway was just the breath of fresh air we were looking forward to. Comfortable, clean, peaceful! The setting is perfect with the river running through the property and yet close to all the sights and sounds of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. I would definitely recommend!

Amazing house! Clean, spacious, great furnishings, serene. My brother and his family camp nearby, the house was the perfect place to host them and their dog for dinner. Met Brian and he was extremely nice! We are so happy we found this wonderful place. Can’t wait to come back!

This beautiful riverside home exceeded all our expectations! The house was very welcoming and had everything we needed plus so much more! The property was well kept and being surrounded by water was awesome! Thank you for the great visit to Michigan!

Clean, quiet, secluded. Absolutely beautiful. River is loaded with trout. Nicely located to see the sights. Host was very responsive.

Cute little house in an absolutely beautiful location on the Platte River. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the birds and the river. The screened-in porch overlooking the river was lovely. Our only wish was that the mattresses were a little firmer.

This property was very enjoyable to reunite our 7 adult family members! The beautiful and serene flowing river was well worth the float with our kayaks. The spacious yard for the dogs and people to play catch/frisbee, and the comfy seating on the covered porch were all utilized. Even with the warm July temperatures, the window air conditioning unit in the living room did the trick and kept most of the house cool. We slept well in the 4 separate spaces. The kitchen was well stocked. Great location for day trips to the beach and Sleeping Bear Dunes. There were a few house bugs, but we understand country living. And a bonus was viewing a nest of baby robins by the front door! Thanks for helping us make some fun summer memories!

Beautiful property! Such a peaceful spot. The house was well stocked, clean, and so cozy. 10/10 recommend this place, and will definitely be coming back!

Our stay for the week was amazing. The property is beautiful and secluded. I stayed with my mother who is in her seventies and cannot walk well. The ramp up to the door was an added bonus and allowed her to come in and out of the house with ease. The rooms were clean and had a homey cabin feel. The house is a hidden gem. We will be back!

Beautiful River and large property with large front porch and quiet area. Good place to get on the River and close to many lakes we had a relaxing and fun time. Kitchen is very well stocked with anything you would need

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The cottage itself was comfortable and homey. The clean beautiful river surrounds the property on three sides and provided a relaxing atmosphere. We waded in it every day while enjoying the beautiful sunshine we were blessed with. Sitting by the fire at night and listening to it babble was so soothing. Would love to stay here again.
