Pet friendly free use of kayaks,bikes great dock and screen room fenced yard

The home was charming, comfortable and had all the basic needs. The backyard was awesome and the view of the river, a plus. The owner was very accessible to our needs even though she was out of state. Fortunately, we did not need anything because everything was provided. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. I really have no negative response...loved our stay there.

Check in was simple. Everything about the house was great! All the amenities were included.

Very comfortable home in a lovely location! Kayaks and canoe were fun for our family to explore the river and fish! Our pups also enjoyed the fenced yard. Donna was an excellent host and provided great communication.

My husband and I wanted a quiet, peaceful atmosphere where we could bring our two dogs and just experience nature. The yard was fenced so we felt comfortable letting the dogs out and being able to go out your back door and kayak down the river was wonderful! It was close enough to local places to eat and to Rainbow River State Park. Overall, very nice stay and would definitely go back.

Stayed for a short 3 day visit but wish we could have stayedstlonger

The house was very clean and fully equipped in the kitchen. The only thing that was needed was a good can opener.

The River house was a perfect getaway for us on spring break! We used the house as our home base for exploring Florida’s Nature’s coast including the many state parks that are only a short drive from the house, including the Gulf. We were able to explore springs, find manatees, and use the house’s wonderful amenities like the kayaks, and amazing sitting areas overlooking the river. The host has thought of everything and has set up a very cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating allowing for our small family to have some space and enjoy the sounds and sites of the river while reading, birding, and just relaxing. We were thrilled with the variety of wildlife the river has to offer- including pileated woodpeckers,, turkeys, turtles, fish, and many other bird species. The house was stocked with basic cooking equipment essentials for cooking family meals, and we were able to eat around the beautiful table each night- which when you have teenagers- you know what a gift that is. The beds were comfy, and the entire house was clean. The host was very responsive, though to be honest, we didn’t need much besides confirming the check in time, and to let her know we arrived and all was well with the house. You really should check out the River house if you are looking for a quiet place on the river, that you can be low key and relaxed at, and use it as a jumping off point to explore the Natural Coast. You couldn’t ask for a better host!

Property has many amazing features and we especially enjoyed the access to the river using the supplied kayaks and the outdoor screened gazebo. The neighbors and all the people we ran into in the neighborhood are very friendly. It was a great location for us and perfectly centered between Dunnellon and Ocala.

Very nice place to stay. There are two steps down into the living area, so it could be a problem for folks in a wheelchair or on a walker.

I absolutely love this property! This is the second time we have stayed here and we will absolutely be back asap! We live in Tampa and this place is the perfect getaway from the busy city life. The yard is fenced in and my dogs have so much fun. I especially like the fact that you have to go through a gate to get to the water so I don’t have to stress about the dogs. This was our second and again had a wonderful time. We really like the location since it allowed us to do plenty of hiking, biking and kayaking. The house has everything you need to enjoy you stay!

I cannot say enough good things about Donna and her property. We came out the day after hurricane Milton and she was so accommodating she worked with me so much and it meant so much. The house was perfect and the location couldn’t have been more relaxing. We were there during a really hectic time in our lives and it made everything so much easier on us and we made some awesome memories. Thank you Donna! We will be back!
