Pet Friendly First Floor 2 Bedroom Apartment

This was my first b&b. I really appreciated that my dogs had a yard and we were near downtown. The apartment was so peaceful.

Good location, host responds very promptly!! House itself needs a lot of work!! Very old, rickety and neglected. Pricey for the condition of the property but served the purpose.

Robert was very attentive to any concerns.

Definitely a nice amount of space. My only thing is the mattress stains the boxspring is very ancient. Pulled the sheets up and quickly realized to not proceed as my money was spent, I was in a far away place and going any further wouldn’t shot my anxiety through the roof along with my paranoia. The building is old but the pet hair all on the couch was insane. The dead pest in the window seals were another thing but hey it kept my family safe hundreds of miles away from home

Linens were supposed to be provided, but there was only enough for the 2 beds, and we booked for 5. Host never responded to our questions about this. Property was clean, but falling apart. There were large holes in the floor that decorative items were placed over to hide. The ceilings looked as if they were about to fall in. There isn't enough room to move in the shower unless you're a very skinny person (we are not). Pluses were the place was definitely clean, and since we were only there to sleep and shower, it did it's job. Definitely in need of major repairs.

Great location for visiting local attractions. Very pet friendly with a fenced in back yard. It is an older property, but very clean. Host was quick to reply for any questions. Parking out front was no problem.

Great communication with owner. Super clean. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in St. Louis and this apartment was in a great location to get to what we needed.

This home was clean, convenient and super close to everything we needed (Children's Museum, Union Station, restaurants, grocery store, etc).

Property is not well maintained. Large amounts of plaster & drywall not intact; missing baseboards; stained and poorly patched ceiling. Rooms divided by off track pocket doors. Very small shower. Bathroom outlet not to code. Back step missing railing with metal protruding from lower storm door; old nasty rug in a pile outside. Questionable cleanliness of linen with bath towels missing. Some things you cannot just paint over. Regret not taking some photos. Would not stay here again.

The pictures were very misleading. Seemed as if they just threw furniture into an abandoned building. Walls and floors were in bad shape. The location was conveniently located near downtown and the highway.

We were very impressed with the location of this property and it's proximity to many things. It was just a very short drive to go anywhere we wanted. The keyless entry was great so we didn't have a key to worry about. The inside had this rustic charm, which is why it has a 4 star on cleanliness. It's just an older building and you can see the age but it's got character and charm. We were quite comfortable there. And even though the listing said it's pet friendly we did not see any evidence of pets ever being there. No smell or fur or anything. The a/c worked very well which was quite nice since it has recently been so hot. The bed was comfy. The kitchen had basic amenities although we didn't take advantage of that this time around. All in all, it was a great stay. We would take our kids there and even our furry grandbaby. There is a small fenced in yard in back that we also didn't use but could have. I really hope I'm doing it enough justice because it really was quite nice. And the bed was super comfy too.

Great for the budget but could use some upgrades. Locks on front and back doors could be more secure. Couldn't get the door to the half bath to latch or stay closed and snagged socks on several loose floor boards. Over all, location worked well and the house was clean.

The unit (one in a duplex) was fine. Both the place and the neighborhood could use a little polishing but it was clean and safe. Well suited for me and my traveling companion.

Would stay again for location to downtown. Had a lot to do so didn’t hang there much.

This was a comfortable place to stay and fit our family very well. It is an older home but has all the necessities plus a large fenced yard for pets.

The mattress has stains and a big dip in it, so don’t plan on sleeping on the king size bed. The dishes were dirty. We had to bring our own pan. The structure itself is in general disrepair. The shower is too small to bend over. Dog poop in the back yard. I understand it’s affordable, but even Super 8 is a better place!

Older apartment, very basic. Met our needs. Host was very responsive and flexible with our needs.

Cute little apartment with an extra room. Had all of the necessities and was clean. Loves the private fenced in back yard for my doggo.

Check in was seamless- neighborhood was super cute and lots of fun bars nearby. There’s a grocery and liquor store under 5 mins away so once we were settled in, it was great to be able to run and grab essentials close by. Property was a bit outdated (loved the charm though) and water pressure in shower was weak, however, we were gone visiting family so using it for sleeping and lounging was perfect. VERY dog friendly- there is a door that goes straight into the fenced in backyard. Plenty of off street parking- felt safe and secure. 8 mins from the arch- family was in East St. Louis and 20-25 mins to get there- you hop right on the highway. Easy communication with hosts. Will definitely stay again when we are back!
