Perfect with children and dogs: Meticulously renovated 4 stars chalet

This property is just about the best we've ever stayed at on VRBO. It's exactly as advertised. Meticulously well organized and appointed. The space is clean and well designed. Incredibly comfortable. And the property is idyllic, situated in a very quiet wooded area. Our dog had a great time playing and running around. Plus, it's close to Lorgue and conveniences. Franz and his family were gracious hosts.

Great place, well described, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Pool great for cooling down. Very peaceful and our Labradors loved the garden and woods at the property. Host Franz was very friendly, told us about nice places to visit and good restaurants. Excellent strong Wi-Fi. Nice walk from house to Chatuea de Berne and day visits to Gorge de Verdon, Tourtour, Ampus etc. Massive market in Lorgues on Tuesday and many restaurants. Our favorite was Antr’nous and L’Estellan.

A very pretty abode surrounded by a lush forest of pine and oak trees with lovely hiking trails. A tranquil environment ideal for disconnecting. The house is beautifully restored with materials and furnishings of high quality and is very well equipped and comfortable, including a pleasant fireplace and terrace. Thank you again Suzanne and Franz for your very accommodating, warm and discreet welcome.

My wife and I stayed at the Chalet for part of our three week trip through Europe. The accommodation wanted for nothing. We both like to cook with all the beautiful ingredients that can be found in the markets and the lodging wanted for nothing. Lots of cooking utensils that were nice and sharp made cooking our dinners a joy. There's plenty of room for everything and the fire place is wonderful. Once you get a hang of the driving to the chalet it's a breeze. Franz and his lovely wife invited us for aperitif one night which was wonderful. It was too cold for us to use the pool but I'm sure in the heat of a Provencal summer it's a godsend. I can highly recommend a stay here as it is well equipped, close to everything for day tripping but guarantees privacy and seclusion once you're ready to call it a night. Susanne and Franz are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they have thought of every detail in this spotless, stylish, charming and very comfortable property. The place has all the facilities you could want whether visiting in winter (as we did) or summer (as we wish - to take advantage of the pool, patio and BBQ), and is incredibly well stocked, on a wonderful terrain in peaceful and tranquil countryside. The grounds are immaculate (even the wood shed is neatly organised) and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property for a lovely and relaxing stay. This is a place that has had so much love put into it that it is tempting to keep it secret, but Susanne and Franz deserve to have their hard work appreciated. If only all holiday homes were as well-conceived as this one. You won't feel you're renting a holiday home - you'll feel like you're in someone's house if you stay here. It made our very short stay all the sweeter. Thank you.

We have enjoyed staying in the house for 2 weeks. It is a beautiful house where you can always find a cool place in the summertime. The surroundings are amazing and the owners, Franz and Susanne, are kind and helpful - and very discrete. We enjoyed the house - the beds, the kitchen - and the swimming pool. We highly recommend the house. We also enjoyed Lorgues - the market, eating at ChrisSandrier`s and just walking around. We visited Salernes, Cotignac, Fayence and all the breathtaking views.

We have recently returned from a month's stay in 'Le Chalet', where we were extremely warm and comfortable. The information regardiing the property on the web site is entirely accurate. The accommodation is furnished to a high standard especially the kitchen, which is very well eqipped. It was spotlessly clean and easy to keep that way. Although the owners live on site, you never feel overlooked as the garden is large and a delight, whether you are looking for peace and quiet or a childrens playground. There are plenty od walks or cycle rides to be taken directly from the property, for example one through pine woods to a vineyard and another walk (about 20 minutes) into Lorgues with beautiful views on the way. Lorgues is an attractive, very old town full of history but with plenty of shops and cafes. It also has a superb Provencal market on a Tuesday, which, even in winter was in full swing. There are plenty of interesting places to visit close by. St Tropez about 45 minutes away. The station at Les Arcs Draguignan, only 20 minutes away, has frequent trains to Marseille and Nice. It is also on the main Paris-Nice TGV high speed train line. The owners could not have been more helpful or courteous. Highly recommended.
