Perfect cozy and comfortable getaway two blocks from Oldtown State Street!

Dawn is such a great host, very good communication and super friendly. The house is located in a VERY good location, close to everything downtown SB has to offer. The house itself is small and old, but has a lot of charm. The house isn't the cleanest on the planet. I had to re-clean dishes upon arrival that were put away dirty, fold laundry left in the dryer, and clean the fridge out that had a very strong smell coming from it. Other than that, no complaints!

Wonderful place so close to all the great SB attractions. Well stocked with all any guest would need. We loved it and will be back!

Very fun stay. Great location.

Excellent, cozy little home. It was perfect for our family of four for a couple nights. The backyard is a wonderful little retreat and the bedrooms, living room and kitchen are all nicely appointed. The noise from the street was a bit of an issue (we were there in a Saturday night so lots of people out partying) but nothing too disturbing. Would recommend bringing some extension cords as outlets are mostly in subfloor and difficult to access for most things.

Dawn was incredible. She reached out to us beforehand to make sure we got in safely and communicated with us the entire time. The property was in the heart of Santa Monica, within walking distance to many of the activities we were planning. Excellent property and host.

This house was definitely in the top five (perhaps even three) of all the places I have stayed. It was perfect for our brief get away. Well stocked kitchen for making dinner, very comfortable beds with plenty of privacy and the outdoor seating around the fire pit was a great way to spend the evening. I would definitely stay here again the next time I find myself in Santa Barbara.

Adorable home with great outdoor space. Perfect location for exploring Santa Barbara. Close to restaurants and shopping. Short distance to the ocean. Highly recommend bikes for getting around. We also brought our e-bikes for longer trips which came in handy because parking can be limited. Dawn is a great host, always available and very helpful.

Location and character. First the location cannot be beat. Easy walking distance to State street and restaurants. The house book was as comprehensive as I’ve ever seen with info about almost any inquiry you may have. I personally welcomed the running route recommendations and had a great run up to the Mission. This place had amazing character - definitely an older home with the sectioned rooms but very clean with great amenities from the outside seating and fire pit to the bicycles to the helpful signs located throughout.

Cozy and convenient spot! Super easy with my 2 dogs. Loved the fenced yard. Parking was a bit of an issue as street parking is limited and has restrictions and the spot at the house is too small. Also the house is on a busy street and near construction which made it a bit noisy. Location was very walkable! We came in on a very hot day in SB and the house doesn’t have AC and only a couple windows could open and had screens, so it was a bit challenging to cool off. Fortunately the yard was a nice place to hangout and cool off! Place was well stocked and super comfortable beds!

This turned out to be a wonderful place to stay in Santa Barbara! We were within walking distance from State Street where there are a lot of restaurants and shops. The house itself is in very comfortable and well equipped! The garden area in the back is just delightful! We would definitely stay here again if in Santa Barbara. Dawn was a great host and left lots of ideas for places to go and eat.

Had a great stay and really got to know Santa Barbara! Lovely historic cottage in a neighborhood that's walkable & safe. We loved the restaurants and activities in the area. Very comfortable beds & linens. Immaculate kitchen & bathrooms. Cool patio & pergola with comfortable outdoor couches & chairs. The owner touched base by email to check that was well which was appreciated

The location is terrific. The house is charming. Dawn is an amazing host. Couldn’t imagine a better Mother’s Day weekend.

We love staying here - it’s close to everything and the thoughtfulness that’s been put into every square inch of this charming house is apparent. Feels like a warm hug with everything you need. The backyard is great at night - make time for it!!

A small house which had everything for a short break. The outside space was a perfect retreat. The beds were extremely comfortable with lovely linens. We used the bbq outside, and loved sitting around the fire pit as the evenings cooled. Dawn was very helpful and I had excellent communication with her.

Hiked the 7 Falls, visited the Monastery, walked the West Beach, Marina and Stern's Ward, all close to the rental property. Property was cozy and clean.

We had a great week in Santa Barbara. We’re from the Seattle area and needed some sunshine. The house is in a wonderful location…so much nearby…the beach, State Street, the Funk Zone, etc. Even though the house is small, it had everything we needed and many spaces to relax. Dawn is incredible and was quick to respond to our questions and requests. We would definitely stay here again!

Really close to State Street restaurants and shopping. Dawn has really made an oasis in the space allotted. We had 2 adults, a 5 year old, and a dog. There was plenty of space for all!

We stayed for two nights, and it was lovely. The back yard is a highlight. Great sitting/reading area. Lovely nooks and efficient layout. Perfect for my boyfriend and two friends. We walked to the SB Bowl for Sofi Tukker and it was perfect.

I think I'm spoiled, this was my first ever VRBO. Seriously, this place is so great! From the second you go in, you are just so happy and at home. It is in a perfect location to feel like a local. The outdoor patio area is to die for! Dawn was super attentive and very helpful. What a special treat it was for us to stay in this gem!

After 3 days at the Lemon Tree Hotel we desperately needed a homey comfortable place to stay. Cute interior, really nicely decorated. Good location , close to State St and my favorite park ( Alice Keck) Loved the backyard! Dawn was a great host and very attentive.

Location was great. House had everything we needed. Backyard seating was comfortable and inviting. Only concern was there were bugs on kitchen counter that scurried away when turned on lights. Appeared to be cockroaches.

We loved sitting out back. Wish bedroom windows had screens. We liked having different sitting areas so we could have separate time. Cottage had everything we needed. Would do again.
