Stayed Nov 6, 2022This yurt was absolutely amazing! 10/10 recommend! It was beautiful, very clean, and had gorgeous views. It was private and secluded. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, the place decorated nicely, and had games to play, smart tvs, and a nice kitchen. Everything was perfect. We will definitely recommend to anyone going to Lake Lure.

Stayed Mar 30, 2024Amazing view, very secluded and love the sounds of the close by waterfalls from the deck ! However, there are trade-offs for having such wonderful views and that’s the drive up to the house. Read the reviews and the property notes carefully. Some all wheel drive vehicles couldn’t safely make it up the steep incline so had to park lower and hike all of your stuff up. We barely made it up the first time then decided to park lower and hike up after that. Very little room to turn around. You’ll need to be in decent shape for the hike up but it’s not too far. There’s also a tight fit between huge boulders before you get to the driveway, it seems tight but it’s not really tighter than a normal lane. The coffee maker is a Keurig (yay !) so bring your own k-cups or your own coffee but I’d suggest if you prefer your own ground coffee to bring a universal reusable filter as the filters provided are not made for this Keurig. The lights & fans were not very intuitive to use in our opinion. Find the white remote controls and use those for the fans and fan lights. The lights for the kitchen island can be found behind the coffee maker… The bed mattress has a big dip in the middle. There were some ants getting in but they were dying quickly making me think the house was recently treated and not much anyone can do with the recent warm front & spring upon us so the bugs want to move. The property owner was very responsive to texts and has plans to address every concern possible.

Stayed Nov 3, 2023The location was spectacular, the house was clean, the kitchen had appropriate utensils, and the view was fabulous. The “down sides” were that “4 wheel drive is recommended” should have said “absolutely needed”! We had a huge F 150 truck and both days could NOT make it up to the driveway due to the extremely loose gravel so we had a carry all of our stuff up and down the mountain to where we had to leave our car on a flat portion of the road! The blinds in bedroom broken so you could not raise to see the glorious color of the leaves, not one single dishcloth, scrub brush, or hand towel to use in kitchen/bath, no batteries in the 3 flashlights provided, most of the lights on trail were out or broken, and the front door didn’t lock so we had to use a kitchen chair under the handles in order to secure the house at night. With a few touches and additions, the place would have been fabulous!

Stayed Oct 21, 2022This is such a great property! We have stayed twice and will most likely be back again. The sunset from the front deck is breath taking and it is definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise as well.

Stayed Aug 5, 2022Great property!!! Great location right above the beach area at Lake Lure! Within minutes to any local attraction you want to attend! The house is beautiful and the lights leading to the fire place is great! The final road up to the house was a little rough, but nothing 4-wheel drive can't manage! 5 Stars and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet house to themselves!

Stayed May 9, 2022Would definitely recommend this property if you want a secluded quite getaway with fantastic views! The property manager Michael DeFrancisis is by far the best property manager we have ever encountered! He was easy to get in touch with and answered any questions we had! We had an issue with weather with our original booking and we contacted him and he got us rescheduled asap with no hassle! He's awesome! I would aslo like to add that you definitely need a 4 x 4 for the driveway! The front wheel drive couldn't make it up halfway but our car was safe where we ended up leaving it. Property is in a perfect location to visit chimney rock and lake lure!
