Rimrock, Arizona
Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Rimrock is 45 mins from downtown Sedona. There is about 1 mile of dirt roads to access the home and 15 mins from Hwy 17. It is a quiet new home and a great get-away from city life. With a brand new street address, the home is not yet listing on GPS, your host will provide directions prior to your arrival. If you would like to bring your pet for a longer stay there will be an added charge of $35 for a week or $50 for a month.
The space
This is a very nice space for two guests. There are no close neighbors, and the stars, sunrise and sunsets are amazing ! The surrounding property is high desert, at about 3,400 feet altitude.
Guest access
The entire home is yours, there is a host available for any assistance you might need.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind that it's best to arrive at the before sunset due to the rural location of my property.
The closest food store is 1/2 hour drive, so bring your own food supplies. Coffee is provided. There are two restaurants in Rimrock, a Thai restaurant and steak house (Robbie's).
There are occasional visits from local wildlife... skunk, javelina, coyote and even possible cougar visits: so it is the guest's responsibility as pet owners to keep their pets under safe control at all times. If pets need to stay inside the home, then pet crates are required.
This place is off the beaten path for sure. It's remoteness makes it a great get away spot- It's safe, it's quiet, and it's dark. Bring a lawn chair for star gazing away from the city lights. No neighbors means quiet privacy during your stay. The front porch faces across the desert to the red rocks of the Sedona area to the north. It's a great morning coffee spot or an evening sunset view. There's definitely wildlife out there if you sit patiently, watch, and listen The host was friendly and helpful on the phone, and we enjoyed the big friendly white dog who came to visit in the mornings. It's a distance from any services, so eat in town or stop at a supermarket on your way in.
