Pittsboro, North Carolina
Sleep to the sounds of crickets, enjoy breathtaking views of the woods, watch deer graze in the meadow just below your deck, walk along the creek nearby. Take a deep breath and enjoy all that nature has to offer, while relaxing in a well-equipped and modern home. Soak in the hot tub while staring out at a vast forest. Light your own private fire pit. This "treehouse" escape has all the beauty and quiet of seclusion, but is just minutes to anything you need.
Pull right up to your private entrance where you'll find a large mudroom area. Proceed up the stairs to the home, which is light and airy throughout.
Master Bedroom is at the top of the stairs and features Leesa Cal King Bed, Desk, antique trunk with extra blankets, spacious walk-in master closet.
Across from the bedroom is the bathroom which has a full-size tub with shower, large storage shelves, oversized farmhouse sink.
Enter the open-floor plan kitchen, dining and living space. Kitchen has stainless fridge, sink and dishwasher. We've outfitted the kitchen with everything needed to cook including high-quality pots and pans, blender, new dishes and silverware, glassware, serving dishes and utensils, baking dishes, etc. (Anything not in the barn we definitely have in our house and are happy to grab for you to borrow.)
The dining area is situated with windows looking over the property, and has a farmhouse table with expandable leaf, and up to 8 chairs.
The living room has a smart TV and large windows with views throughout. New blue velvet couch can fold down to a bed. Find magazines, books and games nearby for a day in. Enjoy the private balcony off the living area where you can often see deer, bunnies, wild turkeys, or even the occasional turtle.
Loft area off living room is accessed by a stair ladder and has a king bed (queen bed also, which is not great quality but works for kids if needed). Though the loft is not separated with walls or doors, the area is large and private.
Out back you will find a deck area, picnic table, and firepit for you and your guests to enjoy throughout your stay. We have cornhole, axe throwing and hammocks available upon request.
Wander throughout the property as you wish, along one of the cleared walking paths, down to the creek, or along the 3/4 mile private dirt road within the neighborhood. Visit our garden or chickens. We're happy to share eggs and whatever is growing at the time.
We live in the adjacent home and property. We appreciate you being considerate of our home, neighbors, children and pets!

We really enjoyed our stay. Great views of natural areas from the main living area. The kitchen was very complete with a large dining area. The bedrooms were comfortable. We entertained our family comfortably one evening for dinner Would love to return in the future. The hosts were very accommodating.
Jason and Tara offer clean and spacious lodging in a quiet area with plenty of natural surroundings.
Thanks for a great stay.
Great hosts property is just beautiful with the deer grazing in the yard in the morning chickens and rooster fill out the country lifestyle of living. Very nice place to stay. Away from the fast and busy style of city life.
We really enjoyed our little Christmas getaway with the family. Everything was perfect. Playing Cornhole and walking around the property down to the creek. Seeing the deer and watching the chickens... The place was really nice and clean. Would recommend this place to everyone who likes the quiet peaceful country life...
This is an excellent rental. I highly recommend. We enjoyed seeing the deer.
Our stay was lovely. It was easy to find and it was easy to get to Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham. The owners were responsive and kind. The beds were comfortable and the home is cozy and bright. It was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
The property is a quiet and stunning natural beauty, and the home is well-appointed and comfortable. Tara and Jason are generous and welcoming hosts who also know how to cook a great meal! We intended to unplug and we did.
My daughter and I went to North Carolina to tour UNC Chapel Hill. We wanted a cool and unique place to stay and this place did not disappoint. It was easy to get to. All Maps had directions to it. The outside property was so green with tons of trees. Very quiet and secluded. The “barn” was just beautiful inside and out. My daughter was so excited to stay here and it did not disappoint. Tara and Jason have thought of almost every need you might have and provide it. But they are also very good with communication and are willing to help you with anything you might need. If our daughter decides to attend UNC, I know where we will be staying for our visits.
We attended parents weekend at UNC and this was the perfect place to unwind and relax after the activities of the days. It was peaceful, comfortable and had everything we needed. This was a great alternative to staying in a hotel room despite being a little farther away from campus. Owner was very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend staying here.
