Peaceful Mancos Hideaway: Only 1 Mi to Downtown!

This is one of the best rentals we’ve stayed at. The space is tastefully decorated with all amenities for cooking full meals and bathroom needs. The TV has good streaming options, but they also have a blue ray player and a huge supply of discs. We really enjoyed watching old movies on DvD! The best part of the rental, however, is the outside space. It was stunningly beautiful with the yellow aspens and fall colors. The little pond, fire pit, and hammocks are great for just relaxing around the property surrounded by mountains and nature. Our dog loved it, too! The hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful. We would definitely come back!

We hit our weekend at the peak of the leaves changing and this property was absolutely gorgeous. The home was the perfect size for our family of 4 along with 2 dogs. We had everything we needed to cook our dinners in the small, but efficient kitchen. The beds were comfortable and water pressure was great. The property is right by the road, but we never heard road noise inside. It rained 2 out of our 3 days there, but we still had a great time visiting the nearby sights and fishing at their amazing pond. My kids had a blast with the catch and release fishing and we probably caught about 10 fish over the weekend. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch and relaxing in the evenings as well as having a fire at the fire pit. If you are looking to visit southwest Colorado, I would definitely stay at this beautiful retreat.

Great property with so many beautiful touches. Coming from Arizona the flowers trees and green lovely trees were amazing. Very thoughtfully laid out property. Kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of room for family to have a small dinner. Beds were pretty comfy and the porch was perfect for rocking and laughing!

This is a case of a stay where they underpromise, and over deliver!!! What a treat of a location and cabin. Also, the owners were not invasive whatsoever, but responsive (emailed back usually within 10 minutes) and hospitable (sent local recommendations based on conversation, as our plans changed last minute). Stay here, you won’t regret it! I’d give them more than 5 stars if there was a way to.

After 3 days of hiking and camping in the heat of Arches and Canyonlands, this was a perfect oasis to escape to for a few days! The home is so cozy and clean, and the property is beautiful. Our girls loved paddleboarding on the small pond, and it is very convenient to Mesa Verde and many other southwestern Colorado attractions. Will recommend this to anyone who is headed that way!

Our stay was wonderful and the property was just as described - peaceful, private, lovely. The house was well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Beautiful property only minutes from downtown Mancos. This was a perfect place for our family trip ( 3 adults). We really enjoyed the ability to bring our two dogs along. The house was warm and comfortable. The hosts were excellent. The only drawback is the noise from the highway… but this was still so quiet compared the the city.

This cabin/home was very cozy and just what we needed to unplug from the day-to-day grind.From the island/pond to the walking trail around the property it is nice to just step outside and be. In the stillness of nature.The location is great in that it's close to Mesa Verde and a few other attractions.If I were to go back to SW Colorado, I would consider staying here again.

Wonderful property in a park like setting. It’s the Disneyland of Mancos. Great place to relax and recharge.

We enjoyed our stay and are planning a return just to relax at the property. Close to Durango and Mesa Verde. Peaceful and even more inviting than the pics show.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the pond, fire pit and the sweet critters! I hope we can come back again and stay. We played hard, did the Toltec/Cumbres Train (a very long day driving there) a lazy day and then the Durango Silverton Train. Both were wonderful!

This two bedroom house served our purposes well. We found it as advertised. Four adults stayed in the house, and though there was not a lot of extra room, the porch and outdoor space were a bonus. We recommend it for consideration.

This lovely little house made a wonderful base for day trips to Mesa Verde, Ouray and Telluride. The house was clean and stocked with everything you need. The surroundings are stunning with lush vegetation and a small pond you can tool around in, in a paddle boat if you want.

We loved this house. The house was perfect for outdoor living. It was well equipped. The property was fabulous with a cool fire-pit, a pond with an island that could be access with a bridge and several acres of grass and trees. We will be back

Beautiful setting. Deer running across yard while we were having morning coffee was a highlight.

We enjoyed our stay here and sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch. Yes, there is quite a bit of road noise as the property is adjacent to the main road, but we were okay with it. We just used a white noise app on our phone at night because it was warm and we needed to open the windows. It was a great base for us to visit Mesa Verde NP and Durango.

This was a great place for our family! The house was very clean and well supplied. the owners were very responsive. It was private and there was ample trees and grass and places for my children to play.

The place was exactly as described. Close to everything and a very great yard with pond, paddle boat, and wildlife close by. Definitely loved our stay!
