Peaceful luxurious retreat with stunning mountain views & nearby skiing/hikes!

Above the cloud This is exactly as described. It has very peaceful solitude with breathtaking view. You don't need to hike the mountain to see the beautiful fall foliage and sunset. Just stay at Above the cloud and you will see it all. The house is decorated very thoughtfully with simple and elegant way. We felt very warm and cozy like home. The host Marianne and Bob are very kindhearted couple. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel comfortable during the stay of their property. They treat us like friends. This place is truly a gem !! Highly recommended.

This property is a unique gem to say the least. The views are breath taking, the architecture of the house gives it a feel of its own and Bob and Marianne are the best hosts on the planet. You are only about 20 minutes from Stowe and other smaller scenic towns and beautiful drives all around. This property will not disappoint and will leave you with a feeling of thankfulness that you were blessed enough to enjoy this truly unique and magical space.

This house was perfect for our Vermont getaway! The property is extremely clean and has everything you need for a week or more of stay. We enjoyed six wondeful days here. We've stayed many places in Vermont, but the view here beats everywhere I've ever been. Can't wait to go back!

This rental is by far the best rental that we have stayed in! The pictures are accurate but when you arrive you will definitely see that they do not do justice to the property...it is truly even more beautiful inside and out! You will be in heaven and will never want to leave. Marianne and Connor have thought of EVERYTHING...every appliance, many extra blankets and throws to get comfy, spices, eye masks in case you want to sleep in..ETC. ETC. I also would like to note that they have taken the time to label light switches, bookshelves, appliances so that you know EXACTLY what to do and where things are...what a plus in my opinion. The bathroom...I never wanted to get out of the shower. WOW. I would however, be remiss if I did not talk about the character of the hosts...Even though we did not personally meet them, they were ALWAYs available. Marianne answered many questions as I was getting ready to book, and provided tips and information right up to our arrival. She also checked in with us to make sure that we were enjoying our stay...inquiring as to if we needed anything. When I struggled with the door lock (my issue not the host issue), Connor answered the telephone on the second ring and guided me right in. I consider myself a germaphobe and I can tell you that this home was spotless! It is extremely evident that Marianne and Connor have a passion for what they do and personally care about each and every guest. Do not hesitate to book this property.

This was our second wonderful stay at Above the Clouds. The incredible view is what we love most about it. Many reviewers, including myself, have described how special the view is. The added bonus, however, is that when there, you feel as if you have landed in a soft nest of comfort and luxury up in the trees. Marianne and Bob have thought of every detail to make their place not just a VRBO accommodation, but a pampered indulgence! They have succeeded in creating a space that is pleasing to all the senses - from the sheepskin throws by the fireplace, beautiful lighting, soft linens, cozy robes and slippers, perfect pillows, spa ambiance and amenities in the bath, a welcome wine and cheese board, local maple syrup, waffle mix, and gourmet hot chocolate and spices. And, as is not always the case elsewhere, even the pull-out beds here are high quality memory foam and every bit as comfortable as the beautifully carved queen bed. Couldn't ask for anything more!

We spent a week in late January and loved it! The views of the mountains, including the iconic Camel's Hump, were unparalleled and the scene shifted depending on the weather and the time of day. Within an easy drive of Stowe, where we went cross country skiing, but we also spent a lot of time reading in front of the fire.

We’ve been coming to this area for the last 3 years to celebrate our anniversary and this was by far the best place we’ve stayed. The listing doesn’t do the views justice. Waking up and looking out the window at the foot of the bed and seeing the sun shining on the mountains was breathtaking. I wish we had more time to stay longer. The house had everything we needed and more and the hosts were great. They reached out at the time of booking and a few weeks ahead of our trip with all the details on the property and offered suggestions of places to go in the area. If we decide to come back to the area next year, we hope to be able to stay here again.

There was nothing to be wanted throughout this stay. The items available for use in the house were lovingly curated to make the experiance everything you did not know you wanted it to be. It is clear the owners really care about their guests and want you to enjoy this special place as much as they do.

We had an amazing stay at Above the Clouds II! The attention to every detail from linens, toiletries, provisions, craftsmanship was perfect. The view was absolutely breathtaking and we literally felt like we were above the clouds!

This property was perfect for us. Great views. The attention to detail was perfect. Great taste from choosing kitchen appliances to art in the house and around the property. It rained two days and it was easy to just relax and read or listen to music. We're spoiled now. Thank you.
