San Luis Obispo, California
PCH Bunkhouse is conveniently located half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco right off of Pacific Coast Hwy in San Luis Obispo. Easy and convenient stay for Cal Poly, Morro Bay, and Highway 1 scenic corridor. Nature and beauty are abound on our private ranch. This is our guest house. We live on the ranch and so do our ranch dogs.
It was so cute and cozy! The beds were AMAZING with so many quilts you could pile on. The porch has a spectacular view of Mount Hollister. We were there during a cold spell so we didn't use the porch as much as we could but on warmer days, I can imagine seeing condors flying around Mount Hollister. The cupboards had every dish imaginable but it made it tricky to store food. Lots of room in the full-sized fridge for everything though.
Favorite place to stay in SLO, quiet off the beaten path. If your into fresh air and scenic natural surroundings this is the place.
just a gorgeous setting, and a thoughtfully decorated and maintained home.
We came for a weekend wedding and found this place and thought we would give it a try. It was a few minutes from downtown SLO but not a bad drive at all. The place was quaint, not fancy but perfect for what we needed. A place to sleep and hang out for a bit. We enjoyed all the dogs on the property. They were super friendly and having them there made me feel a bit safer. It is kind of hidden and we loved it!
Great stay and great location. Actually a beautiful location. I would love to call this place home.
The bunkhouse is a great stay. The kitchen is very well appointed, the bed was comfortable and the place was nice and clean. The property location is excellent with an amazing view. My wife and I liked it very much.
We had the most incredible experience during our stay at this private, serene ranch with a charming two-bedroom cottage. LaRonda, the owner, is an absolute gem, and her warm hospitality made our visit truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a welcoming entourage of canines who eagerly escorted us to the property. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature. We had the pleasure of spotting deer, including a lovely doe, as well as wild turkeys and playful rabbits. The ranch offers a peaceful and secluded environment that's perfect for reconnecting with the natural world. We're already looking forward to our next visit, where we plan to spend quality time with our teenage son. The ranch's location is incredibly convenient, just a short fifteen-minute drive from Cal Poly SLO, where our older son is a student. Beyond the ranch's tranquil ambiance, it's also the ideal starting point for exploring nearby attractions such as downtown SLO, Morro Bay, and the magnificent Hearst Castle. If you're seeking a tranquil escape that seamlessly blends convenience and serenity, We can't recommend this ranch enough. It's an experience you won't want to miss!
My young daughters and I had a short stay at this beautiful, super clean cabin. It's easy to get to, but feels very much away from it all. LaRonda and her husband were so very sweet and fun to chat with, and their dogs were a huge hit with my kids. We will definitely be back, for a longer stay next time!
Probably my most favorite place to stay in SLO, quiet and out of the way. Beautiful home with a sweet host. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay and an astounding sleep.
Comfortable stay with good beds, linen and towels. Beautiful surroundings with a majestic rocky peak right on your doorstep. Owners are pleasant and welcoming. We only stayed 1 night on our travels north, but was worth it.
Just amazing! If you like being off the beaten path this is the place for you. Quiet, rustic and serene. The bunkhouse is spacious with two big comfy bedrooms. Fresh air and beautiful scenery. Hope I get to comeback.
Well situated home to explore neighboring towns. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Brilliant planning in providing all different patterns of bathroom towels to keep each person’s separate during stay.
Totally different experience for the 3 of us. We arrived after 8pm. Didn’t expect the dark narrow road. Instructions helped a lot. The place was lovely, very clean. My husband was a little disappointed because no TV but I love it. My son like it. The strong smell of I guess the wood panels or wall bothers me at first that’s why we open all the windows and doors for a few minutes. Otherwise, I would consider coming back . not sure about my husband. Thank you for a very lovely accommodations.
Everything about our Bunk House stay was great! The location, the views, the accomodations...and our host LaRonda was great too! We hope to stay again sometime in the future and explore the Central CA coast even more.
We have had a wonderful time in the Bunkhouse! It is very conveniently located close to PCH, but you have the impression to be far away. It is a wonderful piece of land and LaRonda and Guy were wonderful hosts taking a lot of time to chat with us! The kinds had a fantastic time playing with the dogs. The Bunkhouse is huge and very well equipped.
The property and views are just beautiful. LaRonda and Guy could not be nicer more accommodating hosts. So much wildlife to see, so many perfect pictures to take. Loved it!!
Lovely stay, the property is even more lovely than the photos depict- we were very comfortable and had everything we needed!
