Stayed Apr 5, 2024Check-in was easy, and friendly. Maintenance staff was nice and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the property was clean when we arrived, (although evidence of mice showed up near the end of the trip.) However, we had eight people staying in the cabin, and there were only four kitchen chairs and one couch for seating in the living room. The deck had lots of seating, but we spent the damp or chilly evenings on camp chairs inside. Late on day three all the toilets and showers backed up. A call to the emergency number that night got us some help - the next morning. And that was it. Fortunately, we had family members in another cabin, so we got by for the night. The maintenance man who came in the morning was VERY apologetic, and got us working again after a couple more hours. He was great. Checking out, I actually spoke to the person I had been communicating with by email for the previous several months, and who had answered our emergency call. She asked me if our visit had been nice, except for the plumbing issue. I told her it would have been nice to know what we were supposed to do without toilets for 12 hours, and she said: Oh yeah, I should have told you.... I also mentioned pictures had shown twice as much seating in the main room, and she replied that she guessed the pictures were outdated. It's amazing how one person's who cares attitude can leave a sun-blocking overall impression.

Stayed Aug 13, 2020We had a great time at the Patoka 4 Seasons Resort! The house was clean and spacious, and both us and our dog felt very at home. The staff was friendly and helpful, with some fantastic recommendations for local eats. The house was just a few miles down the road from the state park with easy access to the lake. We'd love to come back soon!
