Stayed Aug 1, 2019We are leaving Casa Ruby today after two fabulous weeks staying in Finca Angelus. The whole place is beautiful, clean, well resourced and Ankie and Claude have been wonderful hosts. They get the balance just right between being friendly, available and welcoming and also creating space for you to enjoy your holiday. We loved the fact that they have a vineyard and produce their own wine and Claude has created much of the art and sculpturing of lights, tables and much else which really adds to the character and charm of Finca Angelus. The paella evening was lovely, it was great to meet some of the other guests and the welcome with wine and nibbles helped get our stay off to a relaxed and happy start. We definitely recommend hiring a car. We made the most of exploring the island and favourite memories will include Mount Teide, trips to see dolphins, the amazing beach at Playa Bollullo and lovely family times in the villa, enjoying the swimming pool or having meals together overlooking the sea and mountains.

Stayed Mar 9, 2019The welcome from Anneka and Claude could not have been better, we arrived later than expected, we received a warm welcome and offered a glass of wine! The 2 bedroom bungalow we had on this complex was lovely, had all we required, the complex was also lovely, with white impressive buildings including pool, good views and plenty of space. Our hosts gave a guests evening wine and snacks, great way to meet fellow guests, from differing nationalities, ( they also have paella evenings , shame we missed that. Better luck hopefully when we return.

Stayed Feb 23, 2019Host couple Claude and Ankie, here have created a completely unique holiday paradise for primarily adult holidaymakers. They live on site and welcomes you with home-made cake and coffee for a first quiet and pleasant conversation with us, the new residents. We got a tour of the place where Claude himself walks and puzzles with wine growing. In their little Bodega, we were invited to a fiesta with Paella, which the son-in-law quietly produced on the huge large paella pan over the equally large gas fire. Here we met the other residents and had a nice and cozy evening in their company. We lived in Casa Ruby which is a large apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room with open and well equipped kitchen. Every morning we were delivered fresh morning bread which cost a little insignificance. On apartments there is a large covered terrace with the most stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, Puerto de la Cruz and El Tiede. Swimming pool is just above the apartment. The place is located very centrally with the motorway just below the city which can easily and quickly bring you to the big cities of Puerto de la Cruz or Santa Cruz in your rented car. We send a big thanks for a lovely holiday and for the always hospitable and welcoming approach that Claude and Ankie did.
