Pacifico is a New Mexico Safe Certified property
Stay at Pacifico and treat yourself to a true Taos, New Mexico lodging experience – one of adventure and relaxation. Pacifico means peaceful and peace is just what you'll experience when you escape to this enchanted retreat.
Pacifico is a serene authentic two bedroom adobe home located in an unspoiled valley between the town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley. The home features wood lattila and viga ceilings, radiant heat saltillo tile floors and a classic kiva fireplace. Set on a full acre, with panoramic views of the southern Rocky Mountains, the grounds feature stone patios, rock gardens and private hot tub for those cool Taos evenings. The home is tastefully decorated with works from various northern New Mexico pueblos and artists.
At the center of the home, the living room provides plenty of space for gathering under the high viga ceiling, and plenty of windows to take in the stunning view. Sink into one of the oversized chairs for an evening of fireside board games, or pull the shades and take advantage of the 55” flat screen TV connected to satellite service.
Open to the living room, prepare a delicious meal using the fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances: microwave, gas range, refrigerator and ultra-quiet dishwasher, as well as an array of small appliances, utensils and pantry staples. Pacifico contains plenty of dinnerware for a group to share a meal at the generously sized dining room table, whether it be home cooked or conveniently brought in from one of the many local restaurants. For alfresco cooking in the back patio fire up the gas grill. Later, when the sun gets low in the sky, grab a blanket and cozy up in one of the outdoor chairs to admire the evening lights.
Staying in for the day Choose from a variety of books located on the floor to ceiling bookshelves in the library and put your feet up while enjoying a fire in the traditional wood-burning kiva fireplace; savor a glass of wine while sitting on the private front patio or listen to birds and soft chimes blowing in the breeze while taking in the magic of Taos Mountain from the professionally landscaped back patio.
When it's time to head out to see the sights, you'll find this quiet, naturally-landscaped neighborhood is a convenient jumping off point for excursions to the Rio Grande Gorge, Enchanted Circle and Taos Ski Valley, but yet, is still only five miles from Taos Plaza.
On return from your outing, no matter what the season, soothe tired muscles in the hot tub beneath a moonlit sky so clear you can see the Milky Way. Finally, sleep like a baby on beds appointed with foam or pillow-top mattresses within thick adobe sound muffling walls. This lovely home sleeps 6, with a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and a new daybed with trundle in the library. Ceiling fans are located above each bed to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Stream your favorite playlist over the Bluetooth enabled alarm clocks located in both bedrooms. For your convenience, wireless Internet and USB charging stations are provided.
Enjoy a spa experience in the jetted jacuzzi tubs located in each of the two well appointment bathrooms. Each bathroom, one attached to the master bedroom and one conveniently located adjacent to the guest bedroom, is furnished with a hairdryer, hand-carved cabinets, ceramic-tiled sinks, handmade tin mirrors, and plush bathroom towels.
Taos is a four-season paradise and Pacifico is an idyllic retreat, perfectly located just far enough from the crowds but offering easy access to all the area can offer: 5 miles to the Taos Plaza and the historic Taos Pueblo and 15 miles open highway to the Taos Ski Valley. One visit and you will want to return again and again.
Taos appeals to guests physically, intellectually, and spiritually. Enjoy the mountain air, the mild summers, the internationally famous Taos Ski Valley, Taos Pueblo, artists communities and museums, festivals and fiestas, and white water rafting, just to name a few!
We loved our stay at Pacifico. The house was just far enough out of town to be nice and quiet, but close enough to easily drive to the various dining options. It was also a great access point for heading up to Red River or out to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. You truly feel isolated on the 1 acre of land, and the hot tub has a great view of the mountain range to the east. The night we got there, the sun set on one side of the house, and then the full moon came up over the mountains. What a great sight. The night sky was spectacular as long as you bundled up for the cold. As for the inside, the house had everything we needed with plenty of space to spread out. The two oversized chairs were favorites of the entire family. The heated floors were also a nice addition and quite easy to control with various thermostats spread around the house. Everything about this place was a positive. Should we ever find ourselves in the Taos area again, we hope to be able to once again stay at Pacifico.
Beautiful, well equipped home, with convenient access to town. Loved the views and hot tub. Very comfortable place. Would absolutely stay here again!
We lived the house and property. Beautiful, cozy, well appointed and the view was lovely. Very peaceful! Perfect home base for exploring northern New Mexico. We’ll be back!
Was lovely thank You
The property was just what we had hoped. The patio and view was the best part but the house was set up great. The kitchen had everything we needed and we particularly like the library. We were sorry to leave. The house was not huge but, for three people, we had more than enough room. We loved that we were very close to Taos but still had the feel of being in the mountains. We hope to be back.
Great Stay
Great location and home, perfect for 2-4 people or a family of 4.
The owners have thought of everything you might need for a wonderful vacation. The home is better organized and has more thoughtful touches than any other vacation home I've visited - from the excellently organized kitchen with every appliance and gadget needed, to the luxury bath amenities, the comfortable beds with quality linens, the hot tub and BBQ grill overlooking the mountains and even to to the wonderful library, games and art collection--this home really is more like visiting your favorite friend's home than a vacation rental. We loved it and will return again soon! The excellent location was a huge bonus!
Everything was excellent!
Spent a long weekend at the home with our three young kids. The house was so comfortable and accommodating. The kids loved having their hot tub session every day! We cooked several meals in the kitchen and weren’t in need of anything. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and conveniently located near Taos attractions. Kids are already begging to return - we definitely plan on coming back to this house!
Our party of four adults loved this property. Very comfortable bedding and so many thoughtful touches. Would love to stay again.
Property was dirty with master bath sink did not drain we had to buy drano to use it. Has mice problems
Pacifico was everything promised and so much more. The house was stocked with all the amenities you would need. From a few coffee pods to get you through your first morning there to an assortment of individual jellies, oatmeal, teas etc. They even had eco friendly individual shavers/shave cream, toothbrushes/toothpaste, and mouthwash. The views were amazing, and the house was perfectly located. We always have stayed in a different house when we’ve came to Taos (since 1995) but this house will be the first one we will rebook. Thank you for the Taos magic.
This house was lovely. It was spotless & very well appointed. I’m a professional organizer & noticed all of the details the home owner has seen to. I loved how organized this home was. The view was fantastic. 25 minutes to Taos Ski Valley which was great. Really hope to return someday.
We have been coming to ski at the ski valley for a number of years and always stay at VRBO homes. This property would be in my top 2 as it was very clean, easy to get to and from, the beds were really comfortable, we had plenty of hot water for showers and the kitchen has everything you could want to make a meal. The views were amazing also which is a big reason we like staying on the Mesa. I would definitely stay here again!
Nice stay while boys went skiing
The house was amazing with the heated floors being a big plus
Staying at Pacifico made our get-away to Taos a wonderful experience. This luxurious house had everything we needed and was so beautifully appointed with art from the Taos area. Very clean and quiet. We should come back in a heart-beat. Thanks to the owners for providing such a wonderful haven. I even got to do some stargazing in this great dark-sky location. Thanks!
This rental really felt like stepping into a comfortable home. The owners thought of every need their guests might have. The beds and linens were wonderful. The kitchen was fully stocked with serving dishes, utensils, condiments, coffees, teas. Games and books were a fun activity for our family, not to mention the incredible views! The hot tub provided amazing star gazing. Probably the most thoughtfully appointed rental we’ve ever had. Thanks for making our time in Taos so special!
What a great house! We loved how close it was to everything we wanted to visit. Hot tub with mountain views was amazing. Heated floors were a bonus. Loved the reading room the day bed was comfy. Can't imagine a better rental in the Taos area.
When were so looking forward to staying in this home. However, it was so dirty. Coffee in coffee pot, also sheets not done. We even found a business card in the bed. So much pet hair we had to clean for 2 days. Dust everywhere and I am sure none of the Covid cleaning was done EVER. Manager came by to help and did his best but still dirty. Owners refunded one night but NOT the cleaning (we did this) fee. Would not rent this house again.
Beautiful house in a great location.
My husband, son, and I had a wonderful stay in this lovely El Prado home. Tucked away into a little development north of Taos, this home served as a nice retreat after our daily excursions. The home is very well-appointed, and the grounds are tranquil. We had everything we needed, and we especially loved the views from the hot tub! We would love to stay here again on our next visit to the area.
