Stayed Dec 22, 2025The host was nice and left us a New Years beverage and a key lime pie. Thank you! The place has kayaks but the bay is very shallow and you can't launch during low tide. The house is dated, like 1950's/60's dated. The bed was rock hard, we bought a mattress pad to make it semi-comfortable. There is no TV in the master bedroom so I moved the cheap HiSense into the bedroom at night and out in the living room during the day. There is no work being done to improve anything at this property. Everything is so old. The stove has a seal that's falling off. Laundry machines are rusted, but surprise, like the stove, they work. The outdoor furniture on the deck is old and uncomfortable. The temperature is preset so you have to adjust it to make it comfortable at least three times a day. I would like to see upgrades to this property as some of the neighbors are doing. It would make it so much better. Overall, if you can find something better for your money, you should.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025Good stay. Pros: Location, cleanliness, view, supplies - 8 or so beach chairs, kid toys, fishing pole and gear, snorkeling, multiple kayaks and a sup. Found a place in the backyard where monster lobster were stacked. Unfortunately, I stayed a week before season started. Con: need a kayak to get out to snorkel or scuba dive. Launching from property at lowest point of low tide is not recommended (mud at shoreline) but it is doable.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025We had a very nice stay. We were thankful for the kayaks, one leaks and filled with water though. It was fun to paddle out and tie the kayaks off on the island, where the boats anchor, and snorkel around. The only reason we gave overall 4 instead of 5 was without the doc in the water it is difficult to access the water when it isn’t high tide without walking in the very stinky weeds and mud. Doc would allow the ability to fish as well. The home had everything we needed. The rental manager was great to communicate with and prompt in responding. We would stay here again!

Stayed Apr 29, 2025The house was at the perfect location right on the water in the middle of the keys. It was a close drive in any direction. Juan was great at communicating and getting us information that we needed quickly. I love the equipment in the basement. There’s kayaks and paddle boards that I used often. This house suited our needs.

Stayed Feb 5, 2025Juan is a wonderful host! This house is located on a very quiet road that is easily accessible to everything! Juan promptly replied to all of our inquiries and questions before, during and after our stay. This home is very clean and organized. It has everything you will need- pots, pans, utensils, seasonings, coffee filters, soaps, beach towels, and bath towels, etc. Downstairs, he has kayaks, a paddleboard, bicycles, beach chairs, beach umbrella, mask, snorkels, fishing pole with lures for your use. We kayaked every day and explored different areas as well as Shands Key (we saw a couple of turtles around there each time we went out) and saw stingrays, turtles, nurse sharks and other kinds of fish throughout our ten day stay. It was easiest to launch the kayaks around high tide. There is also a walking/biking path on Aviation Blvd that is shaded in the morning that you can easily walk to from the house. We recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital (best to make reservations), Bahia Honda State Park, Curry Hammock State Park and the two mile walk/bike on the old Seven Mile Bridge to Pigeon Key (or take the train ride there). This is also where you will see the most beautiful sunsets. If the parking lot is full, you can park across the street near the Sunset Grille. Such a magical place! Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us, Juan!

Stayed Jan 19, 2025The house is obviously older but certainly in very useable condition. All of our needs were met and all texts to the owner were answered quickly. The weather was far from perfect, cold and windy. There were some drafts around the glass doors but had it been warm outside, we never would have noticed. Enjoyed our stay!

Stayed Jun 29, 2024We had a wonderful stay! Juan was a great hist. He kept in contact with us a week before the stay and gave us updates on the property. The house was comfortable and perfect for our needs. I have stayed in several vacation homes and I will stay this is the MOST well stocked home ive ever stayed in. Juan thought of everything. Even down to a beach umbrella and pool noodles. My only complaint (which is not the fault of the host) is the floating dock was damaged prior to our arrival and had to be taken down. This made water access almost impossible bc the area in front of the home is muddy. But the views and the breeze and atmosphere was wonderful. We had a wonderful and much needed vacation.

Stayed Jun 19, 2024Property was well kept and organized. Everything we needed was provided. Owner was responsive quickly to any questions. Location was Amazing. We snorkeled 100 yards from the house every day, even up close with a sea turtle! Kayaks were exactly what we needed them to be. There was a hiccup with the pier having to be removed, so getting our young son in and out at low tide and the mud was complicated, as he sank up to his waist. Owner was understanding and quickly moved to make it right. Would highly recommend a stay!
