Escape to your very own secluded woodsy oasis. Set on a 1.8 acres lot that is surrounded by trees, the barn-style saltbox is located across from a five-acre bird sanctuary. Its minutes from Gardiners Bay Beach and a short drive to Atlantic Avenue Beach and the shops and restaurants of Amagansett. The wood paneled interior and hardwood flooring gives the house a cozy cabin vibe. With an open plan living and dining area, guests can enjoy a seating area with comfortable leather couches and have a meal at the dining table that seats six. The kitchen features wood-paneled cabinetry and ample counterspace for whipping up an elaborate meal. Through picture window sliding glass doors, there is an expansive wraparound wood deck that looks out onto the beautifully landscaped property. With three minimally decorated bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house comfortably sleeps four guests.

Utility Disclaimer:
Utility fees are included in the total rental amount. The guest shall be responsible for the costs associated with excessive usage of utilities during the term of the reservation. Excessive usage is defined as utility costs over $45.00 per night of the reservation.
Cleaning Disclaimer: One light cleaning per every seven days and one end of stay cleaning is included in the reservation total. Guests may request additional cleanings at their expense.
Additional Persons: Additional persons are prohibited unless express approval is provided.
Events Policy: Events are prohibited unless express approval is provided.
Off-Season Disclaimer: It is typical that spring cleanings and updates do not take place until late April / early May. If your booking falls outside of Memorial Day to Labor Day, please inquire as to whether or not outdoor furniture and equipment will be available for use prior to booking.
Payment/Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable, however, should the guest elect to cancel its reservation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner of the property to reopen the dates of the reservation in attempt to re-book the property (please note the decision to reopen dates is the owners). Should Marquis be successful in re-booking the property for the original dates at the same or higher price than the original reservation, a refund will be issued to the guest once payment is collected in full for the new reservation. If a new reservation is not made, the guest may use the property for the dates of its original reservation so long as payments have been made in accordance with the payment schedule established at the time of booking and Marquis is notified in writing 72 hours or more prior to the start of the reservation.
Security Deposit Disclaimer: Although rare, accidental damage does happen during a stay. In lieu of a security deposit, guests can rest easy knowing that this property is covered with up to $20,000 of "all risk" damage protection provided by Waivo. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement.
The guest experience for this property is managed by StayMarquis, a local vacation rental management company. Amazing place, we loved our stay!
The house is set in a beautiful and quiet setting, and while in the forrest, the elevated deck helps give you some distance from all the creatures of the woods :) Very rationally organized common spaces, with everything you need, and location is super convenient for East Hamptons and Amangansett beaches and towns. We would go back no question!

This property has seen better days. In terms of the deck and outdoor access, the sliding glass doors are broken and cannot be used so you have to use the side door. There is one single lounge chair. There are two potential cooking pans, one teflon scorched and barely usable. One big pot without a lid. The dishwasher doesn't work properly. The sink leaks onto the floor. The towels are worn so you need to bring your own. The property is opposite a swamp and I woke up one morning bitten by tick larvae so the doctor said. Still recovering. I really don't recommend this place unless you're only planning to eat out, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our stay was a mostly relaxing and enjoyable experience, other than having to contend with repair requests for a slow leak that would have been both inconvenient and with the COVID 19 epidemic, possibly dangerous to our family having a repairman arriving here on our final full day of this short trip.. What bothered me most was the manner in which the message was constructed, as if we were knowledgeable of this situation and was given the option to have it repaired either in the morning or evening on Thursday. If the message contained an apology, in that a request to have a repair done was something we were offered as an option, rather than being given an optional time frame, it would have been the appropriate approach by your office. To act as though we were party to the request of this repair and simply given a time frame, was quite a presumption. I didn’t slip on a banana peel and bumped my head, I understood the “close”, not very bright. But, in spite of all that, we enjoyed the property even though my wife was prepared for a flood and having the roof collapse after receding the message.
