Experience a taste of early Keys grandeur at Anglers End. This estate was built in
1973 and retains most of the original architectural features including, bronze entry
doors, vaulted ceilings of redwood that extend through the main house into the enclosed swimming pool, solid wood doors with original brass hardware, floor to ceiling windows, and white brick that merges the interior and exterior of the home.
This ground level home surrounds the enclosed pool area and offers a great family
experience for the young and the old. Standing just inside the entrance, one can see through the opposing wall of glass into the pool room and beyond to the large lagoon, which is also visible from the kitchen, family room, indoor pool, master bedroom and second bedroom with private patios.
This home is situated at the very end of a point overlooking a beautiful protected
lagoon. Sombrero Country Club and golf course are directly across the water nestled behind a shoreline of lush mangroves, providing a natural landscape. Fantastic sunrise and sunset colors reflect on the deep-water lagoon which features dolphins, manatees, and an array of fish and fowl activity just outside the back doors of the property.
The large, completely renovated kitchen family room has granite counter tops and all stainless steel premium appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked to allow for family style cooking with room to eat indoors or pool side. Sliding glass doors open from the family room onto the outdoor deck as well as to the indoor pool area.
At “Angler’s End”, you will find five bedrooms and three full bathrooms that are spacious with large closets and ample storage. The master bath has been redesigned to include a walk-in tub and separate shower area. Two bedrooms have a private outdoor patios with views of the water and access to the large lawn. There are 5 new flat screen TVs in the home with WiFi and internet accessible throughout the residence.
The gated entry opens to more than an acre of landscaped grounds, providing a private oasis removed from the busy world. Over 600 ft of seawall encompass the property and local companies will deliver rental boats and kayaks directly to the 70’ step down dock {see photos }located on the property. There is ample parking behind the enclosed entrance for personal vehicles, and off-site trailer parking available upon request.
Located a short distance from Sombrero Beach and local grocery and drugs stores, Anglers End offers an ideal vacation retreat with ample space for a family reunion.

    It was a beautiful location. Many areas to hang out, play games and of course, the pool. The pool was great especially since we had a couple cool days in the 60s. It is a deep pool, no shallow end and we all enjoyed it. It was really quiet and we felt secluded. We fished in the canal as well. Even had some manatee visitors. The only reason I am giving the 4 stars is because of the refrigerator. The ice function did not work (there were ice cube trays) and the water filter on the refrigerator indicated that it needed to be changed. Also, many of the bins and shelves were damaged. There is a second refrigerator in the garage which we used for beverages so that helped. Overall, we loved it. Very relaxing stay and close to grocery stores.
