First of all it STUNK! Filthy, dirty, nasty molds everywhere, coffee pot has about 4 inches of molds, and is rusty, tea pot is rusty, cabinets and linen closets smells like mouse pee, roaches everywhere big ones, little ones and babies. A blanket has a hole and has stained like an old blood and stunk. Nasty sofa and throw pillows as well and dirty chairs in the kitchen. When we called the owner they just told us Oh well and hung up. The bathrooms and showers were stuck up. The air was so bad you can barely breath. We tried to stay but started to see more things wrong, we did not stay single night since we left. We went to Holiday Inn. This place absolutely ruined our vacation.
Amazing view, but check with owner if AC is fixed before booking.
Beautiful front porch to hang out on. Dock has lots of fish on it my kids loved it. House was perfect!
We loved all of the interactions with had with the owners and of other people staying at the location. It was a wonderful time and they provided plenty of space and on site activities for us to enjoy our downtime when we weren't boating. The AC is nice and cold. The dock was very clean . We loved how it was like a small community with all of the other cottages. Definitely considering this location for a future family reunion.
We enjoyed our stay. The historic home had wonderful views and was close to our family.
The property was lovely yet very dated. Although it appeared clean we could smell mold. The appliances and dishes were in bad shape. Sheets on the beds were stained and stiff. We also found a couple of roaches which turned us off the possibility of returning or recommending the property. The location was fabulous!
Our stay was enjoyable. Location quiet and close town and beaches. Beds were very comfortable. The reason for a 4 rating was the 3rd bedroom/sun room was missing blinds from the big front window and the french access doors had not blinds....privacy was an issue. The 2 bathrooms were located within the 2 other bedrooms making it difficult to access at night for those sleeping in the 3rd bedroom. Many little cosmetic issues but we saw many impovements being made. We cooked Christmas dinner here and found the kitchen sorely lacking....updated cookware and overall cleanliness. Overall , still an enjoyable and pleasant stay.
The space was generous. The views phenomenal. Our only downside was the cleanliness. Have no issues with a vintage unit (offers charm and character), but this had nothing to do with how old the house was. It is need of a deep clean. For only being there two days it was not worth calling the property managers back out, only to have us leave the unit to clean again.
We enjoyed staying in the main house. Nice quiet location on the Indian River but close to grocery store and restaurants. The house was comfortable with a great front porch. The hosts were very responsive to our needs. We saw dolphins and manatees almost daily. It is a very old house with lots of character just needs a good deep cleaning.
The property was stunningly beautiful. So many glad windows and doors facing the water. You are quite literally a stone's throw away from the water. We could sit on the porch and watch the children play on the beach. It got pretty cold while we were there, but the wood floor was warm on our toes. The original hardware on the doors was so beautiful. Truly an old Florida home. We were transformed back in time for our stay. The landscaping was beautiful. There is no traffic on the street. We felt very safe. Thank you, Kimberly! We will certainly be back!
