Stayed Oct 6, 2025This rental is all about location and comfort.Location: While just a short drive to the downtown, the house is on a country road and perches on a hill. The view from the large, covered deck and screened porch includes a few houses dotting the hills, a valley with 2 small farms, and the distant mountains. I used the deck way more than the screened porch because stink bugs had entered through the floorboard spaces and were gathering on the screens. Don’t know what this means for mosquitoes during the humid periods.Comfort: this suburban-style home which by the kitchen and baths appears to be from the 1990s has amenities that a historic home might not. Both a half-bath and large master bath on the main level was a real plus. The master bedroom had a walk-in closet and all the other rooms on that level were large. A study plus a living room allowed my husband and me to do our own thing. The abundance of linens, throws and tissue boxes was a nice touch.Suggested Improvements: The long, winding and inclined gravel driveway made for a bumpy ride in our mid-size sedan. If the ruts that erosion caused near the driveway’s entrance were filled in I might not have heard my husband cry out at every traversing, “next time a hotel.”We needed working motion-sensitive lights above the garage and front entry. The provided flashlights had no batteries. In the kitchen, I could have used the normally provided bottle of oil, coffee creamer and Keurig. No one-ply harsh TP, please!

Stayed Sep 30, 2025It’s an absolutely beautiful area. We loved sitting out on the porch and seeing the amazing views. The location was so convenient to W&L and to several road trips we took.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025We stayed at this property for a girls’ getaway weekend in Lexington. The house was well-stocked and really clean, everything worked great and we had clear instructions throughout the house. The house was also very centrally located to all the things we wanted to do (Safari Park, Natural Bridge, downtown Lexington and wineries). Driveway was a little rough of a climb but that’s to be expected in the mountains. Thank you so much for hosting our wonderful stay!

Stayed Jun 26, 2025In the area for a wedding, we were surprised by how close to Lexington the property was but still had a country feel. The property was well maintained, very clean and well supplied. Loved the deck and screened in porch.

Stayed Mar 21, 2025Love this house and the property on which it sits. For those more adventurous, the mile walk into town is perfect workout (big hill coming back in though!)Was a little large for our needs but ability to bring our dog outweighed size! We enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again if our daughter wasn't graduating!

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Communication with the host was great, entry was easy. House was immaculate and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The porches (screened & open) were lovely. We've been staying in Vicky & Jennifer's properties for longer than I can remember and they are fabulous hosts! Although we needed absolutely nothing during our stay, I know that if I did they would be available with anything we needed.

Stayed Sep 12, 2024Ten years ago, we stayed in this same property when our daughter graduated from Washington and Lee. This time, she was back for her 10-year Young Alum weekend, and we came along as babysitters. This property has tons of room, both inside and out. The hosts provided a PacnPlay for the baby. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to communicate with the host as multiple messages (phone and VRBO messages) went unanswered. We had to contact a VRBO rep to get a question resolved.

Stayed Jun 25, 2024We stayed in 350 Old Farm Road for a wedding in Lexington. This was an extremely comfortable place for all of us (5 adults) to stay. We were able to enjoy the surrounding and to work remotely. The house is extremely comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate all of us without any sense of crowding. The screened porch was a delight for coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evening. This place feels seclude, yet it is a couple of minutes drive from downtown Lexington (in fact, Old Farm Road is just an extension of Houston Street downtown). The property manager was very prompt and helpful. We highly recommend this place.
