Stayed Nov 22, 2025My husband and I love this cabin and want to go back in the Spring. The property is gorgeous and very private. The sounds and views of the Maury River from the porch was very relaxing. We noticed people walking, biking and jogging on a trail on the opposite side of the river and discovered that they were on a portion of the Chessie Trail. We drove to one of the nearby trail access areas and took our two dogs on a 3 mile walk. What a treasure!

Stayed Oct 3, 2025The house was great and the location was amazing (secluded but convenient to Lexington). The river view was outstanding and was fun to see the deer that basically walked right up to us. Unfortunately, due to the weather the stink bugs were overwhelming and we cut our time there short and elected to drive back home instead of staying the night. I realize this is out of the owners control, but a heads up would have been appreciated.

Stayed Jun 7, 2024This cabin is in a beautiful setting, on a grass knoll above the Maury river. There are trails and birds everywhere. The cabin in comfortable, with a large shared kitchen/living area, but in nice weather, you'll want to spend most time on the front porch! We planned on doing more exploring, but the cabin area was too relaxing and enjoyable so we mostly hung out. But Lexington and Buena Vista are a short drive to pick up anything you forgot or grab a bite out. 2 access points down a slope get you to the river. Bring river shoes if you plan on getting in or fishing. We, and our dog, had a terrific time!

Stayed May 24, 2024Beautiful cabin for a long weekend. We loved the sound of the water from the front porch. We even got to listen to a storm pass through.
