Oceanside Lodge Saanich Inlet

The grounds, the size of the house, the pool and the view are fabulous. The decor and furniture are very dated. The driveway is a bit tricky because there's 2 cars parked in the carport. The address is almost impossible to see, much too small.

Our family of 8 stayed here for a week in October and were very happy with the property. The pros: The view, the pool and outdoor area, gardens, game room, common area space and kitchen were fantastic. The pool and hot tub were heated, the beach was accessible and so fun to explore, not to mention the woodwork and the house was all very beautiful. We saw otters, dolphins, jellyfish, and eagles from the house. The only cons were minor (the keys/locks on the house weren't easy to secure, parking was challenging as the driveway is long/narrow and down a hill which we had to back out of or into, and the home could do with fewer dusty fake flowers/plants). However, these things wouldn't prevent us from returning or recommending it to others. We had such an amazing time!

10 friends came together to celebrate our lives & friendship and could not have found a better place! The ocean views were magnificent, the property green, well maintained, offering so many gathering spots & quiet reflective spots. The house was well stocked and truly enjoyed by us all! I would say the 4 bed room downstairs was actually 3 fold up cots & a daybed. We managed with it, but just a note for future guests!

This place will exceed all your expectations. One of the best houses I have ever stayed in. Views for days and the coziest setting for a large group. Can’t wait to go back. The pool and hot tub were amazing as well.

We had such a wonderful time .. the pool and billiards were a big hit with the young ones. There was so much space that the 14 of us could enjoy privacy and quiet time. The neighborhood offered great walking trails and evenings around the fire pit chatting and reminiscing. The kitchen and dining facilities top notch also outdoor bbq area. My young grandson spent time as a budding pianist enjoying the grand piano. The views of course magnificent!

A Fantastic property that checks almost all boxes ......... The boxes it Doesn't check are; 1) the parking of 2 of the owner's vehicles is a real nuisance, there were not enough parking stalls for all of our vehicles, I would not expect this for the money we paid! 2) The bed closest to the outside wall in the 1st downstairs bedroom on the left (has 2 beds in room) is absolutely WORN OUT, My adult son was forced to come upstairs and sleep om the couch to get any kind of sleep at all, definately not acceptable for the money we paid. 3) No King bed in Master bedroom

Enjoyed our visit especially as the home offered us an opportunity to have the entire family together under one roof. The home was well equipped and the recreational opportunities added to our stay. There were a few short comings such as the microwave, toilet off the main bedroom and issues associated with the resident otter but the property manager did his/her best to rectify them.
