Our bright, modern well equipped suite has walk-out access to the beach and an expansive ocean view from every window. Bring your kayaks, bikes, or a good pair of walking shoes - or just curl up by the fireplace for a quiet weekend relaxing to the sound of waves.

The space

Our suite has a full well-equipped kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace and a luxurious bathroom with heated floors, large walk-in shower and locally made soaps and shampoo etc. It’s equipped with in-suite washer and dryer and more closet space than you’ll need even for longer stays.

The suite has its own private entrance with keycode lock, so you can come and go as you wish. We live on the property but we respect your privacy and you may not even see us during your stay - unless you want to, in which case we'll be happy to help out with recommendations, directions, or other arrangements.

We're renting the unit as a studio for one party of guests, with a sleeping area separated by sliding screens. An adjoining bedroom may be available for guests with family or for those wishing a fully separate sleeping space; please contact us for rates.

Guest access

Feel free to relax and dine on the patio, in the yard, in the big red chairs beachside, or of course on the beach itself. Let us know if you want to borrow the rowboat for a beautiful excursion along the shoreline if you are experienced on the water.

Interaction with guests

We live on the property and are available if you need assistance, but we will respect your privacy. With key-code entry you might not even see us - unless you want to, in which case we'd be happy to recommend local restaurants and attractions, good hikes, etc.

Other things to note

While the beach is eminently walkable, you'll need to walk down three steps and hop across a few logs to get there. Watch your step!

We don't have cable but you're welcome to use our Netflix account, stream wirelessly to the AppleTV or connect your phone or tablet directly to the TV.

There is no phone in the suite so if you don’t have one, just knock on our front door if you need to make a call.

The location is superb- approximately 5 minutes from the airport and Sidney. Every window faces the ocean. That, combined with the gas fireplace, make even rainy days a holiday! Communication with John and Sarah is excellent. This suite is absolutely immaculate and thoroughly stocked.

Perfect location. I spent many hours sitting and relaxing at the waters edge being entertained by the geese, ducks and sea gulls. The suite was perfect and I am already looking forward to returning. Wonderful hosts who were always available if needed.

This immaculate, comfortable,well stocked suite with beach access and a view of the Salish Sea through every window easily rates a 10. John and Sarah are thoughtful, accessible hosts. The peaceful location is minutes from Victoria airport and Sidney. One has the flexibility to rent as a studio or a one bedroom.I certainly will be a regular visitor! Thanks John and Sarah

This was a fantastic unit! It had everything you would want for a comfortable stay. The ocean view and sound of the waves was a highlight. Seals swam by, sea birds floated in the waves. It was a comfortable walk to town along the waterfront road. The hosts were helpful, friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

The property was situated on Bazan Bay, the views were stunning and only a short distance from Sidney town centre. The hosts John and Sarah were brilliant. The accommodation was spotless and they had supplied everything, and more, that we needed. The accommodation was clean, tidy and in the perfect location. It was beyond what we had expected.

We had an amazing time staying at this property. It was one of the nicest vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The suite itself is incredibly well thought out and had everything you might need for any length of stay. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. They gave suggestions for things to do in the area when we inquired but also gave us our space to enjoy our vacation. Plenty of outdoor seating and opportunities for wildlife sightings: otters, great blue herons and various ducks! We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely time had by my wife and I. Really enjoyed our walks along the the loch, sea, shoreline Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Weather was fantastic, managed to get a sun tan so I stand out a bit in the Cariboo. Will definitely recommend to my friends. Family 5000 miles away so a bit of a hike for them.
