Oceanfront Screened Porch with Private Beach Boardwalk, WiFi, AC, Outdoor Shower

Great little home in a good location. Clean, screened in porch is nice, has all of the necessities.

I stay in this house every year for a family vacation. 2 of the 3 tv’s do not work. The TV’s in the bedroom do not work. We love this house but feel like the bedroom TV’s should be updated and should work since this is listed as an amenity

This is our 2nd year coming to Holden Beach. The Windalear was very nice. We love being oceanfront and having our own private access. The front porch overlooking the dunes/ocean was great! We stayed early June of this year and the weather was perfect. Even enjoyed a couple of Beach storms from the enclosed front porch. We did find one rather large palmetto bugs in a kitchen cabinet. Vacasa sent someone to put out traps and spray the outside. Wasn't too much of a bother and only saw the one. The master bed could have been a little comfier but overall our trip was great! Kitchen was more than fully stocked with nice pots and pans. Everything you needed and some. It was also very convenient to have the washer and dryer right in the kitchen vs downstairs.

This house was perfect for our family of 5, plenty of space and the view from the screened in porch is spectacular!

Beautiful outside deck and walking path/deck to the beach. Loved listening to the waves crashing while sleeping. Great size shower. Large comfortable couch's for late night family movies. Light fixtures and trim were very dusty. The staff members were quick to act on an ant issue in the bathroom and a over that didnt work. All issues were resolved very quicklu and this is the reason im rating it a 4. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great week in Windalear. Appreciated the new walkway and the new walk-in shower. It is a good value for a beachfront house. Owner might consider new living area furnishing - especially the couch, which seemed to need new cushions to replace old dirty ones. Ants in the hall bath, roach in the kitchen. Screened porch is a good space.

The reviews are all so generous- or maybe this property was better maintained previously. The house was dirty and had a musty odor (not the cleaning crews fault- the owner seems to do 0 maintenance). The walkway to the beach was torn down during our visit- we were told about it an HOUR before check in. The outdoor shower didn’t have a light and was pretty unusable. Patty at vacasa was an angel and they make her play the middle man to a lot of nonsense so I hope they pay her well! The house desperately needs a deep clean and significant updates. Nonetheless, the beach was great, and we’ll be returning to the island again next year, albeit at a different house.

I loved that the beds were made and towels provided were good quality and kitchen cookware and glassware was very good. The interior paneling was new and good....the baths were a bit small and need updated and the walkway to beach is dilapidated but that was the only things I didn't like

Windalear is what beach cottages are meant to be. No frills. Just like when I was growing up. Its the opposite of these plush new houses overtaking our beaches. Beach lovers are there to be outside not inside! But it has everything that people ask for within its weathered walls for comfort as well if you need it. Great time!
