Oceanfront property

We enjoyed the Sugar Shack very much. Easy access to the beach. The home is clean, comfortable and great access to many amenities in town and around the area. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay. Bud and Janice were accommodating and great hosts.

This was a perfect place for our family of 3 to stay in. So cute and cozy. Great location to walk up and back to the beach. Bud and Janice were super helpful and SO nice. I would definitely look to come back here. Was an easy mile walk to the village of Duck. This was something we didn't even know we would need until we were there and saw the car traffic up/down the main road through town. We were fortunate to have the adjoining larger unit vacant during our stay so I cannot speak to noises and such in that regard. It was very peaceful and we feel very blessed to have stayed there.

We had a beautiful week at this property. The house was perfectly clean upon arrival. The hosts were very responsive and gave us suggestions on where to eat and what essentials were located on the property. The home is less than a minute from the beach, so we were able to go back to the room easily throughout the day when we needed things. This is especially nice with a small child. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with very nice dishes, cookware, coffee machines etc. No cheap stuff. We were able to cook several meals and had everything we needed. We were 110% satisfied with our stay. Ideal property and hosts! Thank you so much!

It was our first time to OBX and we had a blast. The Sugar Shack was everything we wanted it to be - we especially appreciated the location to the ocean and to Duck. It was clean and well stocked and the description was accurate. We had a fantiatic stay. Thanks!

Just as listed. Kitchen is well stock with just about everything and some. Only missing was the deck umbrella. we brought our own and used it.

Our second stay at the “Sugar Shack”  was amazing. From the moment we walked in, everything was clean to a sparkle—you could tell the space has been cared for and meticulously maintained. It sets the tone for a relaxing getaway.One of the absolute highlights is the sun rise. Each morning it felt like a private show. Beautiful colors across the sky. It quickly becomes the favorite part of the day.The location couldn’t be better. We were just minutes away from great shopping and a fantastic selection of restaurants. Whether we wanted a quick bite or a nice dinner out, everything was conveniently close.What really makes the experience stand out is the host couple. They are incredibly genuine, attentive and helpful, quick to respond and are happy to offer recommendations.All in all, this place checks every box—clean, beautiful, convenient, and welcoming. It is a great value.You won’t be disappointed. 

Truly a wonderful place to stay. Location can't be beat- close to everything, but quiet and feels tucked away. Everything about this place feels like home. I hope we get to come back. Big thanks to the hosts!

Wonderful property in a great location! We loved watching the sun rise from one porch and set from the other. Well stocked kitchen made preparing meal easy. We had an amazing vacation!

The place was clean, nice and had everything you could need for a nice stay. Communication was great and made everything easy. The beach access was incredibly convenient and enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay on Valentine’s weekend. The house was very warm and cozy, with lots of fun area art and lots of books! The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable.My husband and I had been very busy so this was a chance to slow down and enjoy all the wonderful nature experiences this area has. We enjoyed Swann Beach, the Duck boardwalk and many other. We had been to the area many times but had never experienced it with snow. It made our photographs breathtaking and our weekend was absolutely perfect! Would rent again in a heartbeat.

The pictures listed for the property were an accurate description of what to expect. The house is welcoming, clean, and cozy. If you are looking for a place were you can walk out to the beach from your backdoor, this is the place. We woke up each morning to watch the sunrise and saw spectacular views. The house is within walking distance (less than 1 mile) to Duck where there were many food and shopping options. Bud and Janice were wonderful hosts. Their communication was swift and extremely helpful. We will definitely be back!

Our week at Sugar Shack was perfect! The location is amazing. We walked into Duck for donuts or the bakery every morning, the beach is steps from the door and it is close to all of the sights! The house had everything we needed and more! We will be returning next summer:)

Bud and Janice are wonderful communicators and the Sugar Shack is immaculate, well stocked, and perfectly located on the ocean in Duck! We will always stay there when it's available!

We had a great time! The host was super responsive and gave great recommendations. Views of the ocean were beautiful. Close to Duck boardwalk. Very clean townhouse.

The home is quiet and relaxing ! The view is everything !! super comfortable bed and couch .very easy kitchen she has everything labeled makes it so easy to know your way around . I will say the pool is down the road and wasn’t open during our stay we were highly upset about that. She is very easy to talk to and is very knowledgeable about the area .

The Sugar Shack was everything we could have wanted. It is on the beach with a fantastic view to watch the sunrise while drinking your morning coffee. It is an easy walk to downtown Duck. This house has many extra amenities and the owners are easily available to help or answer any questions. They made check in so easy. This was a terrific get away. Can’t wait to return.

Absolutely as adveristed. Beautiful home well kept with all of the nessecities one might need. The view and area are impeccable and peaceful. It was the recharge I needed.

The location was ideal for us. Close enough to walk to places in Duck (1 mile-ish). Down far enough so that Kill Devil Hills / Kitty Hawk weren't that far. And it's on the beach. The amenities and details provided exceeded our expectations. The hosts are quickly responsive to questions and communicated with us along the way. As my title said, we are already looking to book this location again. And I may even book it on my own, sans spouse. I loved it that much.
