We love everything about the property, location, and area.
Perfect location and wonderful home.
We rented in late 2022 for a two month stay based on the VRBO listing showing AC, expecting a functional central AC. A week (!) before we arrived the host let us know that it was going to be portable window units in each of the three bedrooms instead. These were very problematic: several times they blew a fuse forcing us to search in a dark closet for the breaker box. They were installed in such a manner to leave all the exterior bedroom sliding glass doors open and therefore unsecure, which forced us to hide all electronics anytime we left. Finally, the exterior vent for a unit in one bedroom was 'jury rigged' and I was forced to repair frequently and had a very strong mold aroma when operating. When I complained, the host offered a refund if we found another spot, something literally impossible for a two month stay after we had already arrived. This was a very expensive rental and was not worth the price with these window units.
This house was the perfect vacation stay for our family. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved being able to see the ocean and hear the waves. We saw dolphins swim by almost every day. This was a great location, close to beaches, restaurants, etc. Stacy was a great host and quick to respond if we had a question.
Beautiful property. Clean. We greatly enjoyed ourselves just sitting on the deck watching the ocean, dolphins, and pelicans. Feels very private, but so many restaurants and activities are close by.
The location and view were perfect. Stacy is always very helpful.
Beautiful house with very modern finishes, all the amenities and well located. The house was perfectly cleaned and furnished for our stay. Stacy was quick to connect and explain the access system and answer our questions. Great place.
We picked this unit to enjoy a Christmas along the ocean and it did not disappoint. Also we were close to great restaurants and taverns. Host was always attentive.
Pictures don't do this property justice. The location and ocean views are amazing, the house and casita are comfortable and furnished with high end appliances, bedding, tiled showers, everything you could want. Our host was extraordinarily kind and immediately responded to all our questions, offering suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. It was truly a luxury experience.
great! only issue was one microwave not working but other worked fine. everything as described and easy to use
Staci is a very gracious owner/host. As with any rental property there were minor questions. Staci responded to texts within a few minutes, and she stopped by to deal with questions in person. I’ve rented many beach homes in the Del Mar, Solana Beach, Leucadia area during past summers. Staci’s home was among the very best properties we’ve had the pleasure of leasing. The home was extremely clean and well-stocked. The view is spectacular. The location is great. As I told Staci, while it sounds odd there are two tests I have for whether a host offers a really great place (because, after all, you expect the place to deliver what the online description contains)…one is that all the sliding glass doors and screen doors actually work (they don’t in many expensive beach rentals because of the corrosive effects of the sea air), and the other is that the barbecue both works and is clean. Staci’s place scored on both counts. Meeting these two odd criteria showed that Staci takes care to maintain her property better than most. We’ll stay with her again.
This was a great location. Views were awesome! Stacy was always there when needed.
The home was everything we hoped it would be. It was clean, comfortable and accommodated our family with older kids. From relaxing on the patio listening to the waves while enjoying the views, to the nice walks to the nearby shops, restaurants and beach this was the perfect spot for us this year.
Renting and checkin was easy. The view is unsurpassed. The backyard could use some updating to make it safer. There are 2 cables along the pathway which have come out and it would be possible for a child to fall down the steep cliff. We didn’t allow our grandchild anywhere near obviously, but it felt like a security risk. The description of the rooms for sleeping are not clear. It could certainly not be considered a 4 bedroom house. There are 2 king beds, one in the main house and one in the casita. A curtain divided the casita room and there is a double bed there. The house has a bunk room. Perhaps 2 couples and a few children could be comfortable there. There wasn’t enough room for the 8 people we had planned on having. It was a very pricey rental for the available space. I would have it listed for 4-6 persons, 4 adults at most. The kitchen is equipped, but the cleaning could be better. You can’t count on using oils or spices like you might normally think you would have to use. We only cooked there twice out of 7 nights. If I do a beach stay like this again I will definitely check the accommodations out better. A week long beach stay is a very expensive proposition and I feel like the value wasn’t equal to what I paid. The view is amazing. The beaches are far from the property. You have to be willing to drive to the beach.
Property was exactly as promised. The view is breathtaking. We saw dolphins six of the eight days (!!) we were there, and the sight/sounds of the tide were soothing for even the youngest family member. (The Amtrak noise took some getting used to, but we adapted.) The house and casita were comfortable and well-equipped. There were plenty of boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas for beach trips. Best family vacation of our lives. (BTW, the owner was quick to respond to questions/issues. A couple of the window screens need attention, but that didn’t affect our comfort at all.) Fabulous property. We’d go back tomorrow if possible!
Absolutely breathtaking views. Walking distance to many great restaurants/shops. Perfect stay. There was construction directly across the street the whole time and it was a bit of a nuisance and wasn’t brought to our attention before our stay. With that being said, the views were so incredible that we’d absolutely stay here again. Stacy and her husband were very responsive and accommodating.
A wonderful house that worked perfectly for 2 families of 4 (4 adults, 4 kids under 6)! The house was clean, well equipped, a great location - can walk to all kinds of restaurants and coffee shops, central to the highway to get to activities, AMAZING views, the owner was wonderful to communicate with. We would absolutely stay here again!
