Oceanfront Home w/Incredible Views, Private Boardwalk to the Beach, & Free WiFi

This is an older property, that is somewhat outdated. There are things that should be repaired or replaced. Bedrooms are smallish, but the living/dining area is spacious.The location is great, close to the bridge to the island so no long ride to get to things. The dunes are not wide here so it is not a long walk out to the beach.There is a public access beside the house, but no real public parking nearby, so not a lot of people used it.

Holy cow this place was newly updated between our booking and lodging which was a huge pleasant surprise. The house is super spacious and really well equipped - the beach is as close as it gets and is a nice private slice — there’s only one house immediately to the left and then it’s a rental agency so you’re really not sharing with as many places as you may normally. Location is otherwise awesome directly across the bridge. You’re three minutes from Provisions for eating (love it there) and the food lion, shops, putt putt, (small) waterslides, etc. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Awesome home

Nice size house but could use updates. Cockroaches inside and outside of the house. Not a big pot and pan selection.

I love the feel and layout of the older beach home. This has the potential to be an amazing place to stay. However, there has been so little upkeep, that it is no longer comfortable to be there for a whole week. If I ever find that the owners have put some money into the home to bring it up-to-date, then I would surely rent it again. I am guessing that they never lay eyes on it, because I'm fairly certain if they did, even they would be hesitant about staying there. I would say, you get what you pay for, but after three years renting there and much investigation after this past stay, I'm afraid, it is not even worth the low weekly rental price.

A wonderful home! Clean, good location.

Place was cute with old charm. Nice view of the ocean. The private walkway wasn’t very well maintained so it was hard to find, especially during evening beach walks. Good WiFi, nice beds, had nice toiletries provided.

This is our 10th year at this home. Updates are awesome. Love the remodeled kitchen!!!!

This house is older but we enjoyed it very much. Spacious common area and deck with ocean views.

We've stayed at Holden many times and would rent this place again. Definitely older with a rustic beach cottage feel. Bathrooms are a little small but common area and deck are spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Location was perfect. The only suggestion would be box fans or pedestal fans for the bedrooms. Previous reviews mentioned bugs but that seems to be resolved - we saw none at all.

My wife and in-laws have been going to Holden Beach for years. We missed a couple of years and had to stay at Oak Island because we couldn’t find a house on the beach found this house last year booked that we had a great time. I did go online to book it For next year and I noticed there’s a significant increase so I’m gonna wait if we could book the house for the same price now I would book it spacious

This house has the very best location! The beds were comfortable and had all of our basic needs covered.

Wonderful location and view! Covered deck. Ten year old: “it was cozy and felt like home.. I liked the sea shell Decorations.”

If you want a reasonably priced place to sit and watch the ocean all day, this is it. The house is cozy and clean but old. Don't expect stainless and granite. Just go outside and enjoy the nonstop ocean breeze ?

We loved the house. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Large family table and a deck with the best view. We loved being ocean front and spent lots of time on the front porches.

Loved the rustic feel of an old beach home!

We've stayed here for at least 8 years now so we love the house, walkway to the beach and rockers on the porch. We have made many memories here and hope to continue to do so!!!!
