PLEASE READ OUR ENTIRE LISTING DESCRIPTION so you understand exactly what you are renting. We break everything down by section so it is easy to read and understand.

WHO WE ARE AS HOSTS;
We have been VRBO/HomeAway Premier Hosts since 2016 so you can book with confidence. We have many thousands of reviews online for our 20+ properties in multiple locations and countries. Our average review rating for all properties is 4.95 stars average out of 5.0 stars.

PERKS YOU ONLY GET WITH US;
When booking with us our guests, (and only our guests), receive access to the best tour guide for the swimming pigs, adventure tours, fishing charters and snorkel trips. Your on island host also rents vehicles to all guests as an option for you. We also have an incredible and extensive Trip Planner Document that provides each guest awesome tips on everything from; where to eat and drink, the best beaches, blue holes, cave systems, and all the best stuff to do all over the island. Most guests find that document to be invaluable for a great trip. We provide all guests free to use a kayak, a SUP, masks and snorkels and beach chairs.

COTTAGE LOCATION;
The cottage is in a great location just a few minutes from the capital of Governor's Harbor and at the mid point of the island for exploring everything to the north and south. There are many world class beaches, bars and restaurants within minutes of the cottage. You can also use the awesome pool for free at Pascals Swim Up Bar and Restaurant which is just a one minute drive from us. Gas is very expensive and the island is 110 miles long and just half a mile wide so being in a great location is very important.

COTTAGE DESCRIPTION;
It is a studio style air conditioned cottage with a small, but nice grassy yard with woods at the front and back. It is a local Bahamian road with about 5 other homes and the people are super friendly. The Bahamian owner owns all the homes and the property down at the oceanfront with a deck for you to use with the cottage. Note the cottage itself is about a one minute walk to the ocean shoreline. The deck down at the oceanfront is great for swimming, snorkeling or fishing. The unit is bright and airy with fun Caribbean colors and lots of windows to let the natural outside light come into the interior. The interior is cute as a button with hardwood floors and fun tropical decor. It has free Wi-Fi with a strong signal for your laptop or cell phone. There is a 40 flat screen TV with a Fire stick for streaming. The king size bed is very comfy with high quality mattress. It is really geared towards 2 people, but we offer the option of a couple with a small child age 12 and under. Just understand you will all be sleeping in the same bed. We do not allow 3 adults. There is a small, but functional galley style full kitchen. There is a two burner cook top, microwave, nice full size toaster oven for baking, mini fridge, kitchen sink and drip coffee maker. The kitchen is stocked for full cooking at home. There is a small and cute seating area in the corner of the master bedroom to enjoy meals. There is a semi-covered deck off the front of the cottage with a small table and two chairs for al-fresco outside dining. Bathroom has a custom tile walk in shower. Charcoal grill provided. We provide roughly 100 photos with captions so you can really visualize the rental property. Note we do not have a washer dryer, but there are numerous coin laundry facilities on the island nearby.

SUPPORT THE LOCAL ECONOMY;
Unlike the 95% of rental properties that are owned by foreigners, this property is owned by the Rolle family who are local Bahamians. So the funds you are spending goes right back into the local economy versus being wired to some foreign bank account which we think is pretty darn awesome.

PETS AND SUPPORT ANIMALS:
Please note we do not accept any pets, emotional, support or therapy animals due to extreme allergies/health related issues in our family.

ELEUTHERA IS NOT FOR EVERYONE;
If Miami Beach or Vegas is your thing we respectfully suggest you pick a different destination. Eleuthera is a sleepy island with some flaws; bad roads, dated infrastructure, there can be power / water / internet outages and the occasional gecko on the wall. The trade off is going back in time 75 years to an unspoiled gorgeous island where you will explore the most stunning beaches you have ever seen and have them usually all to yourself. The seafood is fantastically good. The people are warm and genuine, crime is very low and the vibe is super chill. We love it and so do 95% of our guests.

    A bit deceiving. I always give benefit of doubt never a bad review, even now. Pictures. I read the great information packet and used suggestions. Captain Ryan Neilly is great for excursions. We used Chris for our rental car and had to deal with a faulty air pressure gauge, he said. The next day it was flat and we had to fix it. Beach supplies were moldy and dirty, rusted single chair. Grill handle was gone, we did get charcoal and grilled some fish we caught for dinner. The inside was nice and clean, very comfortable bed, the supplies in kitchen were simple, minimal. We bought gallon water,and passed on the beach equipment. We walked down to the dock first thing and did not see a ladder to climb in or out over the rough coral. Beach pictures on Expedia do not say where and how far. next day-We noticed the kitchen window was not closing right, so we pushed on it and did our best. (They plan to replace). Later we came back, and stayed in early evening, due to Mosquitoes, then the wifi went out. Mosquitos were worse and we were bitten up even sleeping under the sheets. We let them know in the morning. Morning we waited for her to come fix the wifi, kept killing mosquitos, stove needed reset. Great dinner at Pascals, but a rough road. We came in early killing mosquitoes many times, and taping up the window and door. Then the power went out around 9:30PM. We slept under covers, no AC, and it came back on at 7AM.(Island time) Packed, showered and left itchy.

    We enjoyed our stay at this Eleuthera rental and appreciated the quiet, peaceful setting. The host was responsive. The house was very clean, and the bedding and towels smelled freshly laundered. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome snacks and beverages left out for us on arrival.The bed was comfortable and the bedding was soft, though the main pillows were a bit lumpy and could use replacing.A few things future guests should know: despite the listing, there is no laundry on site. There are also no hooks anywhere in the house for hanging swimsuits or towels, which would be a simple but very helpful upgrade. A full-length mirror, a small table on the porch, and a ceiling fan would also improve comfort. The kitchen was functional, but minimally stocked. The nonstick pans are very scratched and could use replacing. The kitchen window also lets in a lot of early morning light and would benefit from a shade. Wi-Fi was spotty during our stay and went out on two occasions.Beach equipment was stored in a pile on the porch and looked like it hadn’t been used recently. The dock is about four houses down (roughly 300-400 feet away), not visible from the rental, and access is via a rocky shoreline. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable home in a quiet area and a good base for exploring Eleuthera. With a few simple upgrades, it could be an even better experience.

    Location, romantic cottage vibes, the beautiful dock and very convenient to beaches and food. What a great experience. The only negative...we only stayed 4 nights. Gotta stay at least 6 to 8 days to enjoy it all. Thank you for such a beautiful experience. May GOD continue to bless you and your family.

    Great little cottage for a romantic getaway (7 nights) in a prime location on the island. Cozy with nice touches like the crown molding :) and the price is right. The owners shared a thorough pdf on the cottage and surroundings - beach/island info in the cottage was also super helpful. Cottage owner Chris was fast and easy to work with on our rental car. Electricity tends to go out here and there, but, you know its an island - just light a candle! Great restaurants in Governor's Harbor - Tippy's was our favorite except Fish Fry on Friday night downtown - check it out!

    It was a little rough getting to the island (Southern Air) and leaving(Southern Air again) but in between was amazing time. The beaches were surreal, any one you went to. As for the house, it was perfect for me and my girlfriend. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room for us. The view of the ocean was cool as well. Chris and Ashley were great with car rental and any issues at the house. Would definetly come back again.

    This was the perfect location for our vacation, it was our first time out of the USA and it was thr best experience we could ask for. The property was secluded enough to where you dont here any traffic yes right near neighbors but they are all wonderful and kind and hardly see anybody when there, the deck by the property was breath taking especially during sunset. Also great area for pictures!! Highly recommend and and we will be back! Thank you for such a wonderful vacation!!
