Oceanfront 1+ Bedroom Coastal Retreat with hot tub

The views were incredible, the hot tub was wonderful. It was a great quiet and private location.

We had a truly wonderful 2-night stay at Laurie Linscheid’s beautiful home in Anchor Bay. The property is secluded, private, and incredibly peaceful—exactly what we were hoping for. The house itself was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully put together, with a warmth that made it feel like more than just a rental.The location is ideal. Gualala is only about five minutes away and offers everything you might need, from groceries to dining. There are also several nearby sandy beaches with easy access, perfect for relaxing walks or enjoying the coastline.One of our favorite parts was the garden. It’s spacious, beautifully maintained, and filled with flowers and scenic “vistas” that made it a dream setting for painting. Even in the rain, it felt serene and inspiring—we spent hours there working on our art.The property was fenced in which was perfect for our dog.Inside, the kitchen was fully equipped with all the appliances we needed, making it easy to settle in and feel at home.This is a perfect retreat for anyone looking for quiet, beauty, and inspiration. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The views were amazing, and the hot tub was in the perfect location for view of the ocean, with a little bit of covering so we could still sit in the hot tub while it was raining outside. Definitely would love to come back and have better weather to enjoy the space in views fully.

Our 3rd visit, and remains a wonderful, quaint and cozy getaway (even with our dog)! The host is awesome and very responsive (if needed). Already thinking of our next stay!

The kitchen was nicely equipped. Plenty of firewood. Incredible views and very comfortable patio from which to see them. Also great huge panes of glass in the family room that echoed the view from the patio from inside the cottage. Rooms were clean and seating comfortable. more than adequite storage. Lighting was most excellent in all the rooms. Enjoyed browsing all the Guest Books comments. Very convenient distance from all the Gualalaattractions, Definite plus was being able to use the host's pass to a campground that had a private, uncrowded and dog friendly beach.

The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the home is very charming. The bed is very comfortable, and the view from the bedroom of the ocean during the day and the stars at night is beyond compare. There are so many places to sit inside the home and outside the home that have fantastic views. We would definitely stay again!

I don’t want to tell people about this house because I want it just for us. We have stayed here every year since 2019. It’s the place we go to rejuvenate and just relax. It’s small but that’s what I like. You can’t beat the view. It has every thing we need and want. We love Seapoint. But don’t stay here, it’s OUR second home.

Had an amazing stay here. Very private and secluded location, beautiful property, and the view was even better in person than in the photos! Check-in was easy and nearby Gualala had everything we needed in terms of food, groceries, etc. I highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem!! The host contacted us while we were on our way to let us know the power was out but before we got there she contacted us again to say it was restored. We appreciated the heads up. The host has thought of everything! Towel bar installed by the hot tub. Chairs to use at the local campground/beach access and a pass to get in. A spy glass for watching the boats. Bed was comfortable. The binder with local menus and things to do is a nice touch. They even had a little library of books in case you wanted to read. The hot tub was perfect and you can’t beat the view! We plan on making this a yearly tradition. This is truly a happy place!

I feel like we discovered a hidden gem. But it seems so did everyone else. This place is special. So private. Easy. Everything you need to stay in and all things close to explore. We will be returning for sure.

The place was perfect for our quick Thanksgiving getaway. The house was clean and had everything we needed and the views were amazing.

This was our third time staying here over the last 12 years, and probably our most favorite place to stay. The house is super cozy and charming, with unbelievable views of the rugged Pacific Ocean. We will definitely come back!

Everything we utilized was perfectly awesome

Loved this cottage and access to anchor bay. We had a peaceful stay listening to the sea lions and even saw a pod of dolphins swim by while we sat in the hot tub. Wonderful property!!

The view is priceless and we had a great time on the bluff playing pretend pickleball. l want to stay in the Captains quarters on a stormy day and read a good book all day. Coffee on the patio was divine. The hot tub is perfect for two and the cozy bedroom too. The sofa bed seemed like it would have been perfect for another person too. Laurie was super responsive, and I think it is her grandmother's art all throughout, Melba! Lovely art. We had s'mores by the fire pit and just didn't want to ever leave but we will be back, we're in awe of the views !!

This place is like Calafornia dreaming. Laurie was a very good host.

The view and the privacy!

Just as magical as the last time. You can never tire of this view, and this time, a Bald Eagle flew by as we were sitting at the lower picnic table. What a treat! We will be back again.

Great place

Our experience was incredible! The view was priceless. The hot tub was clean and the view from the hot tub was impeccable! I didn't want to leave!

I agree with other reviewers. The view is jaw-dropping amazing and doesn't get much better. It reminded me of the type of view you get when you book a hotel room at an expensive, fancy resort. The cozy home has a 1960s retro charm and is stocked with cookware. The property is much larger than expected, and I think it would be great place for a family with older kids to book or a romantic get-away for a couple looking for seclusion. Aside from the hot tub and BBQ, there's a built-in campfire pit with lots of wood. The home is well contained with everything you need, and Gualala is a short drive south with two large markets and some restaurants. I discovered two excellent restaurants that are family-run: Miramar Mexican Grill (amazing fish and chips) and the Seafood Shack. The home's owner, Laurie, was easy to work with when I had questions before and during the trip. It felt like I was a guest at a friend's family home. Thank you for your hospitality, Laurie!

Enjoyed stay looking out over the ocean. The shower head couldn,t be adjusted hit my wife in the face. Also can opener wouldn,t work not major things overall great trip

View was just incredible. House could use some very easy updates to freshen it up. Sweet older cottage though. Outside really needs to be cleaned. Was sad to see such a nice property not being taken care of. Art work of the owners mother, I think, were so pretty. Was so nice we were able to bring our dog.

This place is perfect for listening to the sea lions and watching the ocean. We also saw some humpack whales far out in the distance. Bring binoculars!

Always nice and clean very relaxing place

This place is has a timeless quality to it that's hard to put a finger on. In a word of ever increasing sized of homes, cars, trucks and so on, this little MCM bungalow perched over the Pacific proves less is more. More easily described is the fact that the photos provided are very accurate and representational of the home. We have stayed at a number of places along the California coast, and this is hands down the best. Rustic and quaint, yet equipped with every one could need. Funny how the Thermador over and range from the late 50's or early 60's work better than our 2 year old GE monogram appliances at home. I just wish we could have stayed longer. Perhaps next time. Thank you for sharing your truly special family cabin.

What a beautiful view and a great hot tub

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was quiet and peaceful with stunning views plus it was dog-friendly so we didn’t have to worry about a pet-sitter. The hot tub overlooking the ocean was a really enjoyable place to enjoy each sunset. It was perfect for our getaway trip and we would happily stay here again!

Beautiful Property we really enjoyed staying there!

We had a lovely stay at this beach cottage. The views were breathtaking and we spent a lot of time outdoors. The hot tub was perfect with incredible ocean views. It is a lovely property that we will visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful view and surroundings. Even though it is on Highway 1, there is virtually no traffic in the late evening and night and we slept very well. You can hear the sea lions inside the house between sunrise and sunset. This is an older home which we found charming and cozy. Great hot tub. The bedding and linens were very clean, and the items used commonly too. However less commonly used kitchen items need a deep cleaning and the place needs a good dusting. Large cobwebs/dust threads on the ceilings and in corners. We'd still stay again, because the setting is amazing and the property feels very private. A deep cleaning would make it perfect.

This Anchor Bay home was exquisite; the view from the living quarters, bedroom, and outside property is the best on the Northern Coast. The home is a charming older home and we plan to be back. For those reviewing this home for rent, do not hesitate to book; you will not be disappointed! Lori Linscheid and her family happen to be camping near by and invited us to visit. They were very friendly and Lori is the best host.

No whale sightings, so I guess we’ll just have to return for another stay (or two…who’s counting)!

Comfortable cottage with spectacular views.

Couldnt ask for a better house with a better view or better location. My husband and I wanted a quiet and relaxing weekend stay and it was so much better than we could have anticipated. Will definitely come back for another stay!

This quaint cottage by the sea was very peaceful. It had spectacular ocean views, and we enjoyed the sound of the ocean waves. It was relaxing sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the ocean views. We hope to be back soon in this little cottage that we found by the sea.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights along with our dog. The views of the ocean were incredible from a very private large lot. The cabin was the perfect size for us and had all we needed to feel at home instantly. We will be back!

This was such a memorable stay. Lovely ocean views, crashing waves and sunsets. A very nice property with everything we needed. The kids loved flying kites on the point below the house. Our dogs had fun running as well but just be aware that certain times of the year there are lots of ticks in the grass and bushes. We checked the dogs and kids often. We made some wonderful family memories at this quaint property.

We loved staying here. Watching the storms come through, enjoying the changes of light over the ocean, it was perfect.

We enjoyed ourselves so much and had such a relaxing stay. The views were absolutely gorgeous, and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and cliffs was mesmerizing. Views from the hot tub were incredible. We will definitely be back!

Seapoint is my Happy Place. When I need to detach from the world I like to just relax at Seapoint. We just park the car and don’t leave until it’s time to go home. The view is awesome and the cottage has everything we need. It is small and cozy, perfect for a couple or small group.

We enjoyed this lovely little cottage! It was rainy while we were there, and we would have appreciated rugs to wipe our feet at the doorways, but pretty much everything else was perfect. Thanks!

There is nothing but great things to say about this place!! Every detail was perfect. Bed so comfy, hot tub amazing, fireplace so cozy. Waking up to the sounds of sealions every day, especially one we nicknamed Sebastian, as he was the loudest of all. So fun and relaxing. My top choice fo Northern CA coast and the best VRBO place I have ever stayed at.

This property was really amazing. Nestled perfectly on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean with plenty of space on the property for us to roam around with our dog. The hot tub was my favorite part and our dog enjoying lounging in the sun outside sniffing the breeze all day. We were close to town so we could grab some food but did a lot of our own cooking and went into Point Arena to check out the little town and visit B. Brian Preserve which was a highlight of the trip. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at SeaPoint. It's such a cute and cozy cabin that has all you'd need including very comfortable furniture, plenty of towels, wood for the wood burning fire place, kitchen supplies, extra pillows and blankets, and more. There's a new, extremely comfortable hot tub which overlooks the coast and at night you can see all the stars, even shooting stars, while soaking in the tub. Perfect size cabin for 2 even though more can stay using the hide-a-bed couch. And best of all, it's dog friendly! Our 10lb pup was happy looking out the scenic windows at all the birds. We'll be returning! Thanks for sharing your treasured cabin with us!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful Xmas staying in this wonderful cabin. It was just like the photos and description. The view, hot tub and wood stove were wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone. Loved the place.

Lovely property with incredible views of ocean because it is right on the water!

Hot tub warm only, in alarm mode during stay. Ancient kitchen faucet needs replacement. Nice place, killer view. Oven and stove function but belong in a museum .

This cozy home is such a delightful stay. Hard to leave the property with the views, but great access north and south. The hot tub is such a treat!

This little cottage is the most romantic place you could imagine. Spectacular views of Anchor Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It’s kinda remote with a few small towns to access groceries & restaurants. We love the trails that are just north of the cottage in Point Arena & Lighthouse. Gas barbecue, jacuzzi tub, adequate kitchen with electric range and separate oven. Very comfortable queen bed. Lots of closet space. Wood burning stove with plenty of split logs. We will to continue visiting this lovely cottage for years to come.

We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this may be our all-time favorite. It’s a simple but lovely cottage, and the location is amazing. We couldn’t get enough of the view. A highlight was stargazing from the hot tub. It was great for our dogs. Though we were always with them, it was great that they could be off leash. It is right on the highway, so if you have an escape artist, you probably want to keep an eye on them, but there is plenty of space for dogs to explore and sniff. Ours didn’t miss their regular walks. We did a little hiking, wine tasting and picnicking. It’s a quiet area, so if you are looking to decompress and relax, this is your place.

Wonderful property, fabulous view!

We have been renting other places in the area for over 20 years and this one was definitely top three. The property is great. The view is to die for and the house is small but perfect. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and the hot tub works great. The barbecue actually had propane available unlike other places, we are fans for life and we will be back for more nights next time.

This cottage was absolutely perfect. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the house was so cute. The property felt very secluded and quiet. I loved that we could hear the sea lions hanging around on the rocks in the morning. This property is unbelievable and I would 100% stay here again if I'm in the area.

The view is fantastic from living room, bedroom and hot tub. It's very private. Nice new mattresses and couch. The kitchen appliances are old and a bit funky but everything worked. We appreciated the detailed instructions given to us by the property manager and everything was as described. We would come back again.

A sweet and very comfortable cottage on a gorgeous oceanfront property with stellar ocean views wherever you look. The cottage is sparkling clean and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has everything needed to stay in and cook and that was good for us because we found it impossible to leave the views.

My husband and I spent our anniversary time here. The views are gorgeous. There was plenty of room to go for walks around the property. We loved hearing the sea lions and smelling the ocean breeze.
