Ocean View! One house to Beach, Clean and Spacious --South Mission

We had a great time!

Loved the property, it was perfect with 3 kids. The boardwalk and beach are a few steps away. We were very grateful for the beach umbrella and chairs in the garage. Perfect location and beautiful house.

Everything is updated and nicely kept. Very close to the sand and boardwalk. Perfect house for a small family. Only complaint is the airplane noise when sitting on the patio.Ideal location and sweet little house.Would return again.

3rd time staying at this house and it never disappoints. The house is roomy, clean and within walking distance to so much...the beach, Belmont Park, Lazy Eye Coffee and the Mission Market just to name a few. Garage parking and on-site laundry is a plus! The Host, Chad, is easy to communicate with and provides information about everything you need to know. Price is great for being so close to the beach.We will definitely be back for a 4th time!

Location, location, location! Perfect getaway for us to come in and meet some family. House was clean and had necessary essentials. Would love to stay here again host was great and communicative.

Fabulous house…perfect location!!!

We would stay there again and the access to Mission Beach for walks and lounging was perfect. The host was very responsive and helpful. A couple of very small suggestions, another potholder in the kitchen and stoppers for the tubs in the bathrooms to allow for baths for small children.

Absolutely love this place. Exactly as listed. Perfect distance from the beach would go there again and again. Only thing I could maybe hesitate on is if it was really warm. The AC wasn’t the best. We didn’t really need it though, and we could open the screen doors for airflow.

This is the perfect beach house. So close to the beach, beautiful home, with PARKING!! I would 11 out of 10 stay here again. The hosts were so kind and communicative. Perfect weekend bc of this home!

Pros: Responses from owner were fast and direct. Directions provided were clear. Home was clean and amenities provided were perfect for what we needed. Parking garage was a rare find and so helpful with kids. Very comfortable master bed. ACs in each room also is a nice find by the beach. Loved the screen door option to hear the ocean. Beautiful view and perfect location. Water pressure was great too for the showers.Cons: if you have kids that are sensitive to loud noises sleeping, be aware the heater is loud when it turns on and off, and you can hear cars drive over the AT&T cable vault with metal lids outside on the street all day and night. I persoanlly struggled to fall asleep and stay asleep with those noises. Outdated home where some simple upgrades would really benefit them, like painting their baseboards, replacing the sink facet, new bathroom mirrors, less art on the wall, and a new rug or not one at all. Just fyi for the owner, the living room remote back was missing (so just had batteries visible) and a couch cushion had a stain. Anywho, fun location and great stay!

Location of the property is amazing!!

Chad was very helpful when we called him and he checked back to make sure everything was okay. We enjoyed our stay at the Anchor House. It was minutes from the beach and close to many attractions. We'd stay here again if we're in the area. San Diego was a great change of energy for us,

Location, Location, Location! We loved being close to everything…the beach, places to eat, bars, and even a little market were all within a short walking distance! Host was easy to work with and very helpful!

Fantastic stay. This is probably the best house we have stayed at. The kitchen had a lot of items to cook with which is a huge help in cutting food cost. Absolutely everyone around us was very friendly. One guy walks his cat several times a day and the lazy eye coffee down the street also such a treat. Just an amazing location and clean. All of us would love to come back.

This place was great! So close to the beach, but not right on the Boardwalk, so it felt more private. It was so nice having laundry and a garage on site. We loved having the beach chairs and boogie boards for the ocean. Host was quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you for a great stay in San Diego!

Second time staying at this house this year and you can't beat the location! It is within walking distance to everything, beach, Belmont, Mission Market, and our favorite Lazy Eye Coffee.House is roomy and having a garage to park in is a plus! Chad provides thorough instructions which makes the whole experiemce easy and stress free. My family and I have stayed in two other houses in the South Mission Neighborhood and this one is by far the best.Will book a stay here again soon!

The location is unbeatable- the outdoor spaces are amazing. More than enough room for myself, my husband and our two boys, 4 and 7. Kitchen was fully stocked and all spaces were very comfortable. Chad gave us the best list prior to checking in so we knew what to bring!

This house was perfect, I love how it had a garage and they had everything provided. The beach towels were great as well as the beach chairs. It’s one house away from the beach. There was food close by and a cute coffee shop right around the corner. Would definitely stay again! FYI to the owner you need a new umbrella for the front. We were unable to use because it didn’t have a thing to stay open. Otherwise no complaints here! Loved our stay!

Beautiful 3BR cottage one house off Mission Beach was perfect for our family. In addition to beach access, there were a number of eating establishments and stores within walking distance. House had all we needed, and we fixed several meals there. Would love to return next time we visit San Diego.

My son and I were looking for a place to stay for after the movers picked up everything and to celebrate his last few days (for now) living in San Diego. We both like the beach and when I saw this available I jumped on it. Chad was fantastic at communicating with us and making sure everything was clear. There were very detailed directions on how to get there, including onsite parking which is at a premium on the beach. We could see the beach from the living room and patio and caught a great sunset. The unit was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Given the chance we’d definitely come back and stay for longer.

Incredible value for proximity to beach. Could not have asked for a better location for our family. Close to the beach and Belmont Park. Coffee shops and pizza and Mexican food and general market literally around the corner. Easy access to freeways and greater San Diego. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at this beach cottage! It was very clean, well stocked, and was in the perfect location! You can see the waves crashing from the kitchen window, and you can be on the beach within seconds of opening the front door! We loved everything about our stay and the host was quick to answer questions and puts a lot of effort into the details.

Great time, lots to do and see. Our Property Manager Chad went above and beyond on helping us with any questions we had and responded quickly to every text or call. The house was very well stocked with kitchen and bathroom basics. Our stay was very relaxing and the beach and board walk are just steps away. Highly recommended.

We stayed here while we were in town for an event. House is as described and photos completely accurate. The garage was clutch and the beach access amazing.

This is one of our favorite VRBOs! Its such a cute and well-appointed home with great patio space, perfect location and conveniently located near tons of restaurants. We really appreciated the beach gear, especially boogie boards! If you're bringing kids and want to hang out at the beach longer, grab them some wet suits because the ocean is cold!

Owner provided information in VRBO is not up to date. Said there was minimal toilet paper provided as well as other items so we purchased and brought only to find out items wwere there. So many rules that should be owner’s responsibility. Specifically telling you how to clean and fold beach towels is ridiculous. Cleaning fee should allow for housekeeping to do these tasks. Surely, they can sweep patios. Smoke alarms went off a couple of times and had to be deactivated which left the house with one. Otherwise good location.

Amazing location. We parked the car upon arrival and were able to walk to everything. Great coffee shops and restaurants. We had a fun day at Belmont Park. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

What one sees on VRBO for what’s provided is not what one gets. Host emails last minute that soap, shampoo, etc. is not provided. Also not provided— dishwasher detergent. Beach towels are provided with the requirement that they must be washed before leaving. Notes (everywhere)regarding what one can/cannot do are included. This is the first VRBO vacation I’ve had with so many restrictions. Oh, if you want AC (even though posted as included) you can run it for 30 minutes or you’re in trouble. This is my first experience with a host who has so many stipulations. Family could not really relax for fear of breaking a “rule.”

The unit was nice and roomy for our family of 4. Easy communication with the owners, bunk beds for the kids, nice comfortable bed for the adults. Awesome location. Highly recommend this place!
