My family has stayed at this property many time over the years. We decided to have a family siblings reunion and decided this was the best place for us. We love being on the beach. Perfect family reunion home!
wonderful house in a great location. The house was well equipped, cozy, and clean.
Sibling reunion. The space accommodates us and nice to be on the beach.
The house was quirky and could use some updates, but adequate. A little awkward to access deck through upstairs bedrooms. Great location, right on the beach, and football games were on the television. Thanks for a memorable weekend.
Out week at the historic, rustic, and charming Log Manor was wonderful! Upgrades are needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, but we were quite comfortable, and the easy access to the beach was a definite plus.
Dirty and not well maintained. Beds were adquate, but the house had pots, pans, dishes, dish towels, and furniture that couldn't be sold in the cheapest flea market. Front door and shower doors would not stay closed. Just one abused property.
Had a relaxing stay with family of 8, all adults. Plenty of space for everyone to relax, spread out, and be alone or with others. Nicely quiet while still on a main road. Wonderful personal access to the beach and ocean. Cozy northwoods cabin feel to the house. Short beach walk to a few restaurants with live music. Short drive to most all other activities and downtown.
We loved this property because we all had our own space and the shared living areas were large enough to accommodate our group of 10. It was right on the beach so we were able to go out for sunrise, all day, sunset and still run back to the house for drinks, food or to cool off. Great home!
We had a lovely trip to Fernandina in this really interesting and beautiful house right on the beach! Lots of amenities and the perfect location. Highly recommend to stay here!
A nice quick getaway weekend between the holidays! Everything with the stay was perfect! Truly enjoyed our time in the Cabin and on Amelia Island. Property Manager was very easy to work with.
Property manager was very helpful. Location right on the beach for walks on the beach. Upstairs has lovely view from the porch to watch sunrise and enjoy your coffee. Many good restaurants are on the island.
Great place- great location- a limitless “beat-up” - needs a thorough review of all plumbing, doors locks etc… repairs needed
This house is tired, dirty, and in disrepair. There was a significant roach problem (we found a ton of live ones — YUCK)! I know it’s Florida but spray for bugs. The outdoor furniture is unuseable because it was either broken or rusted. The back area was also filthy, unkept, weedy, and half the gates didn’t open due to rust. Path to the beach needed some work because of encroachment of plants - most of plants had thorns which isn’t fun when walking to the beach. Holes in floor downstairs, too much furniture in room (literally one of the downstairs rooms wouldn’t fit a carry on piece of luggage except on oversized desk). Have no idea which bathroom they claim was recently re-done. They were all nasty. House roof leaned and we weee concerned with structural integrity. Not nearly enough lighting. Half the fans didn’t work despite them specifically being advertised. This property was NOT worth the price. I’d rent at the Marriott property down the street before renting here again. Would not recommend this property to anyone.
We stayed in this charming cabin for our week-long family summer vacation. We had a range of ages: infants to grandparents, and It was an absolute hit for everyone. The property feels comfortable and has an old charm about it- low stress, no fuss. The cleanliness and beach decor made it a welcoming atmosphere. Restaurants and activities were a very short drive away. Being right on the beach made the experience perfect for grandparents & little kids not to have to walk far at all. Being able to step right on the beach any time we wanted was the highlight of everyone's trip. As so many have commented on, the large kitchen table was fantastic for meals and conversation. We like to cook, and the kitchen was loaded with every utensil we needed. The host was extremely responsive to any concerns that we had. We had some heavy storms while we were there and the roof leaked a bit (not in bedrooms) but overall didn't detract from our fantastic time. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time to connect with family and friends.
Overall my impression of this property is excellent. The kitchen and family room areas are fabulous. We used all five bedrooms during our stay and all were comfortable. It is located in a great location and the beach is just a short walk through the dunes. We had an issue with the front door...it would only close if the deadbolt was engaged...that was inconvenient especially when unpacking and packing the vehicles. Also the ice maker did not work, however, we were able to keep enough ice in our coolers. I did email the owner about these issues. Overall, our stay was fantastic.
We loved the log cabin! We were right on the beach. Still just minutes from everything. We already booked for next year. Actually we were still there when we booked. We loved it that much. We have stayed somewhere different every year but we have found what we love on Amelia Island!
I’ve been to Amelia Island many times, but the log cabin was my favorite place to stay yet. We’ll stocked, comfortable beds, excellent location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Thanks!
