Very clean place with easy access to the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting Ocean Devotion for many years for our family summer vacation. The condo location is far enough out of Surf City to avoid the crowds and traffic, but close enough to grocery stores and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking in with pots and pans, utensils, and place settings for at least 12 people. The views from the 2 beach front decks is fabulous. Our grandkids would be extremely disappointed if we didn't return to Ocean Devotion year after year. Thank you so much for another great year

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd year in a row renting this townhome. We love the location and the space that the home provides. 1st year it was rented through private owners and was a fantastic experience in all areas - Cleanliness, Amenities & Supplies, Personal touches & Extras by the owners for our stay, Attentiveness, etc. Those owners sold the property and this year rental was through Maven Properties. Customer service and communication regarding the rental booking, transaction and access codes upon our arrival were prompt and satisfactory. The overall condition of the townhome was at best “average.” Maven Properties did change out some of the furniture and turned a former lock out room into a small game room. Thought that would be great for our teens, however, the dart board did not work and it is more of a “hang out” space. We had to purchase a set of pans during our stay due to the ones provided were impossible to cook with because of non-stick coating flaking off &/or there was so much built up burnt on food residue. our biggest issue was bugs and general cleanliness. I’m from the South and I know it’s common place to have to deal with pests. However, this visit, we had to share the kitchen space with hundreds of ants. Making sure that all of our food on the counters or in cabinets were sealed in containers or ziploc bags. As the week progressed, we also experienced several encounters and sightings of roaches. We had to make sure to launder all of our clothes and shake out / check all of our bags and suitcases before packing up our vehicles to leave, so as not to bring any of them back home with us. We also noticed piles of dead flies and beetles in corners of the kitchen and main living areas, between the couches and by the beds in all rooms. We had a great week and enjoyed our vacation, but definitely more attention to detail with the cleaning and supplies provided and some pest control would make this a great rental again.

We have rented from other rental companies on the island and Maven was by far the best. Spoke with Dillion several times while planning our trip and he was always very informative and friendly. Maven was very responsive with any messages or emails we sent. Highly recommend Maven as well as Sea Star #306. We would live to rent from Maven in future for our next vacation on island.
