Dog Friendly, Northwest Nights(a legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is an original 1920 Winthrop house. When it was built there was a dirt road in front, and the river just beyond. For the last 30 years it has been a Chiropractic office....and now recently carefully renovated to be a 2 bedroom, 1 bath nightly rental...with easy ski trail access...walk to the Susie Stephens Trail, and everything else Winthrop. Very convenient...closeto Winthrop's new library, the Barnyard Cinema, our outdoor refrigerated ice rink (the only one in Washington) and our local eateries.

Like a lot of old farm houses, you enter the house from the back porch and the kitchen. The living room and dining area are 'out front'. A King bedroom, a Queen bedroom, and bath are just off the living room. The furnishings are comfortable as well as charming. The kitchen has old fashioned charm and is cozy and welcoming. Well behaved pets are welcome.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION:
1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to. you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.

2)Trail Access/Closure Information:
If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are a number of beautiful hikes, in and around our valley, that we would be happy to recommend.

INTERNET POLICY
**We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley and outages or tech issues can occur that we have no control over, and for these reasons NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through VRBO describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will then contact the internet provider, and/or homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things in a timely manner can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space.

Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. Thank you for your understanding!

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY :
**Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA

**WEATHER CONDITIONS**

We cannot be responsible for weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter.

Was a cozy home away from home. Made a great ski home base. So many thoughtful features. The location was also perfect with close access to walking/skiing trails and the food shed was right next door.We will definitely look to stay here for our next family ski vacation.

Completely met our expectations. House had plenty of blankets and towels. There was a convenient mud room big enough for our hockey gear so we didn’t need to have it in the living area. Kitchen had plenty of cooking gear.

The house is nice and has everything you need. It was a great location for easy walking to town and access to trails. It is close to the highway so there is road noise in the early morning. The backyard with table and chairs is a great place to eat during the summer! We enjoyed ourselves.

This was a perfect spot for two retirees and dog. The house is conveniently situated a 12-minute walk from downtown Winthrop. There are easy local trails for walking and short drives to other walking locations. The house was charmingly old but none-the-less it contained everything that one could wish for a comfortable and happy stay. There were welcoming treats which were a nice touch. One, very minor, negative comment: the largest double bed, though comfortable, squeaked.with every movement. One of us slept in the second bedroom (another comfy bed) as a result.

This quaint, rustic cottage is just outside of town. Although it shows its age, it is nicely decorated and very well appointed. Convenient drive to town, and great central place for us to come back to after long days of hiking.

Although we stayed at the property for several days, we spent little time at the property, as we were hiking in North Cascades national Park. Specifically, we were gone, the best part of each day, and slept at the property. The property was clean and conveniently located, however, the property Was constructed many years ago. I have no complaints regarding the property and thought it was reasonably priced. Notably, at points during our stay, temperatures reached as high as 104°. There were three air conditioning units in the house, and the house kept a reasonably cool.

The door was unlocked when we arrived. More detail needed on the keys in the lockbox and how to access them. Needed washcloths in bathroom and shelves for toiletries. Nice location and pet friendly. House fit the surroundings.

This place was great for our 5 night stay in Winthrop. It had all we needed, including coffee and chocolate treats, and was very comfortable. We enjoyed walking town, visiting Twisp, hiking and going to the rodeo. Thanks so much!
