From our cleaning and sanitation crew:
" We at IBKLEAN want to help our guests feel even more comfortable this summer. Time at the lake is for relaxing, not worrying.
We have been cleaning here for many years. This year we are doing things differently. The most important things are:
1) All staff will complete the Health Department required CDC paperwork before every clean. No one will work if they are not well.
2) Our staff will wear clean/new gloves, masks, and foot covers for every cleaning job.
We will use new/ clean ( in hottest water possible) cleaning tools for every cleaning job.
3) We will use the recommended 2 step cleaning, then disinfecting process, allowing enough time for the disinfectant to work.
4) All laundry will be washed in the hottest water possible. Baskets will be disinfected regularly.
5) We will maintain a check list of this process
We hope our commitment to everyone’s health and safety helps you feel at home. Thank you and have a wonderful time. "

Nice peaceful property
Really enjoy our stays at Guthrie Lake. The home is secluded right on the lake with private dock on sandy shore. Perfect for many water adventures. Thank you Bob for another fine family vacation.
Had a very good time with family, enjoyed the view and all the water toys.
Lovely location.
We had a great time! Perfect cottage for our family of 5 and our pup. Beds are comfy and plenty of seating and tables for stuff, games and dinner. Loved hearing and seeing the loons!
Lots of room for the family to spread out. Crystal clear lake water for swimming and fishing. Great bonfire and the host was very easy to communicate with.
Beautiful home nestled in the woods on the shore of one of the premier inland lakes in the State. The peace and quiet allowed us to forget about the craziness of what we citiots call normal.
This was an awesome place to stay!! Entire family had a blast. The lake is so clear and beautiful pictures do not do it justice. We will definitely be back.
Had a family vacation here and it was wonderful. Loved the lake and the big kitchen . Bob was a great host and responded to all our question quickly.
Great lakefront rental. Private wooded place on a beautiful north michigan lake.
We had an amazing week at Guthrie Lake! It was beautiful and very private. Our dog loved the sandy lake. We enjoyed campfires by the water and relaxing in the screen porch. We hope to come back soon.
My family and I enjoyed ourselves at the cottage. The house was spacious for us. We enjoyed the screned in front porch. The lake is very clear! The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock. We brought our own kayaks and enjoyed going around the lake on them. The kids really enjoyed the woodsy feel of the cottage. (When we rented others the cottages are all right next door to one another) this gave us room for yard games.
The house was perfect. The living room, kitchen and bedrooms had plenty of room. Looking out the window onto the lake in the morning was amazing. The home had everything we needed for our stay plus more. Felt so comfortable staying at your place.
We had a great time and the lake was beautiful.
We had a great weekend.
My family and I had a great time getting out of the city. We enjoyed the lake very much. Also, just the quiet nature that surrounded us. We loved it and would stay again!
The home was very large, actually larger than we needed for three people. There were three boats available, one motorized, one only a one person boat, and one big enough to fit two large people and one small person. The water was calm and easy to navigate.... and the dock was easy to locate from the other side of the lake. During weekdays, there is apparently an air show from the National Guard. The sand wasn't great to bike ride on, but the roads had very few cars, and bike riding on them was pleasant. The couch and the beds that we tried out were all comfortable, and there was plenty of stuff on TV that was appropriate for a sensitive viewer. There was so much cooking and baking equipment that I was tempted to bake a pie. The dishwasher was weird, it didn't really wash or dry dishes unless they were pre-cleaned. ... and it didn't really dry the dishes. The set-up of the kitchen was weird. Baking stuff was together, cooking stuff was sort of scattered everywhere, glasses and cups weren't stored near each other, or near the plates. It took a while to figure out the organization of the kitchen. The neighbors were having a very quiet party the day we checked in. They had three quiet, friendly dogs, only one of which was a wanderer... my dog enjoyed visiting with them. We tasted the water, then went to Meijers to buy distilled water to make our coffee with. I'd recommend this as a great place for a large family to stay.
The house was nicely appointed. Everything we needed was there. I especially appreciated the gas grill and the small motorboat. My dad and son had a great time fishing. It was a quiet spot, although with some occasional loud booms from nearby Camp Grayling. I knew to expect that from the reviews. The only thing I wish I had known in advance is that there’s not a yard to sit in and watch my kids swim. The shore line is lined with trees which means you can’t get any sun or watch the kids in the water unless you’re on the dock. This may not matter to many people, however. Just personal preference. It was nice to be close to Gaylord too, as we went into town for a movie one day and checked out the Call of the Wild museum another day.
Had a great time! Cottage was just what we needed. The porch was the best place. We enjoyed all the water toys too. Thank you!
Very nice property. We had a great (and peaceful) time. Bob Gilbert was near, but was unobtrusive, and there when we needed him. I would recommend this property to anyone.
Just what our family needed! Great place to relax. Also we caught a lot of bass and pan fish. Wonderful place to vacation.
