Indian River, Michigan
This one-story, ranch home featuring easy access and an open concept will not disappoint. The cottage is located in the heart of Indian River with three bedrooms and one & one-half baths. Its a quick walk to Burt Lake, downtown restaurants, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, boutiques and even the local grocery store.
The full kitchen boasts a gas range, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave and most any appliance you could want. The AC is ice cold for summer months and the gas fireplace is perfect for those cold winter nights. Amenities are extensive with a washer / dryer, high speed internet, Apple TV and 60 channels of Spectrum, as well as a firepit. You'll enjoy how spacious the home feels, as it sleeps up to six people comfortably and is stocked with towels, linens, cooking utensils, laundry detergent, firewood, etc.... Vacationers can also use the private boardwalk in the backyard that leads to Burt Lake waterfront and the driveway to the home is paved with available space for parking roughly three to four vehicles.

This beautiful house provided a great location to catch up with family in Indian River. The check-in was easy and the host was great. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed Valentine’s weekend. The cottage is close to so many things for those interested in the outdoors. We enjoyed ice fishing and skiing in our short stay. The cottage was clean, welcoming, and everything we had hoped for. We enjoyed the kitchen that had everything we needed to cook a meal. We also loved the gas fireplace to warm up around after a couple of cold days outside. Steve was so easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed!
Clean and very nicely kept . Close to both Burt and Mullet Lakes . Would definitely recommend, great price and communication with Steve Webb he was very helpful. Thanks again and hope to be back again . Dan
The house was great! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The gas fireplace made the house extra cozy for our winter weekend stay. During our stay we visited The Highlands at Harbor Springs to walk the enchanted trail and also snowshoed at the Agnes S. Andreae Nature Preserve. Steve was an excellent host and made our stay perfect!
Our group of 6 came up to do our annual Ice fishing weekend, and we are all so thrilled that we chose to stay at this property. The house was fully stoked with everything we could imagine and then some. The house was spotless and had a very comfortable home feeling. The communication with Steve leading up to and while we were at his property was flawless, he didn't hesitate to assure me that all we needed to bring was clothes and food and man was he SPOT ON. This is a trip that we all will remember the rest of our lives, and it was so incredible that Steve provided us with such an amazing house to make memories and break bread in. The fishing right down the street was incredible and we hooked into a nice walleye and some perch. I highly recommend staying at this property and I know that we will be back.
Our family stayed here for a ski weekend. Excellent place to stay and would highly recommend to anyone.
We used the cottage for a Christmas break ski trip to Boyne Highlands. The home was very clean, well kept and very well stocked with anything that I think you might need to feel at home. What struck our group the most was how extremely comfortable the cottage was. The open concept kitchen, dining and living room with fire place had you feeling at home immediately. It was so comfortable to return to the cottage after a day of skiing to just relax and re-visit the excitement of the day. It was an easy 25 minute drive to Boyne Highlands on well cleared roads. I think the cottage would be a wonderful place to stay as a base camp anytime of the year for visiting upper northwest Michigan and taking day trips. The owner Steve was available at any time for questions and he made sure that all was good for us during our stay. I would not hesitate to rent the cottage again.
We had a wonderful time at Steve’s house in Indian River! The house was even better in person, and felt larger than the pictures show. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved using the boardwalk in the backyard to walk to Burt Lake! The location is so convenient - we could walk to get coffee or a beer, and Ken’s Market was just a minute’s drive for groceries. We also enjoyed seeing the Indian River Christmas parade. We look forward to visiting again in the future.
The Host was extremely nice and accommodating from check in to check out. The house was extremely clean and very comfortable with all amenities. Felt like home! The property is within walking distance to the grocery store and some small shops and restaurants. As well as walking distance to the beach and paths for walking or biking. We frequently visit Indian River and will definitely rent again!!
Home had everthing we needed and owner Steve was very accommodating JB
Very nicely decorated and well-stocked with great TV (something I have found is not always the case at these rentals). The only thing we missed was wine glasses. I was also annoyed by the option to either pay $79 in insurance or a $3,000 security deposit (unreasonable, IMO) after I had already started the booking process. I'm not sure if this is a VRBO policy or if it's something the owner can opt out of. If so, I would have been much more comfortable if it had been disclosed from the beginning. Other than that, great place!
