We had an extremely enjoyable stay. The location and ease of bay beach access was perfect. The house is bright and fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well Stocked. The only thing the cottage is lacking is an outdoor shower.
Amazing property! Great location. Great amenities. Real clean!!!!! Comfy beds!!! Awesome stocked kitchen!!! Deck is an amazing hang out place! Paddles boards and kayaks were used daily!!! Highly recommend!!!
This home is in a great location. Small but with enough room for 4 adults or small family. Big deck and updated interior. Property management company was very responsive and did help in some ways. But here’s the scoop. This house has cockroaches. We have lived in cities with cockroaches and we know what they look like. We were told that it was impossible because Cape Cod doesn’t have them (google pestinvestigators.com boasts cape cod’s #1 roach control service). Not a great feeling sleeping in a home with them and then told it’s a “beach bug”. Also, the outdoor grill and fire pit were on the fritz. Their maintenance guy fixed them next day. The tv was broken. They replaced it next day. They were helpful but when renting somewhere for the amount of money being asked, you hope that everything works and that cockroaches aren’t on your walls and in your bath towels (yuck). Another note: Nothing to help cook comes in the kitchen. We had to buy everything. Salt, pepper, oils, sandwich bags, tin foil, etc etc. usually that kind of stuff is stocked or at least left over from previous guests. All in all, some tweaks and a visit from a pest control company would make this a great rental for proximity to beaches and P Town.
Located by some our favorite spots like beaches in Wellfleat, Moby Dick's, and Provincetown, I would definetly recommend. There is beach access between adjacent properties across the road. The interior is charming and well kept, with a very nice shower. Expect to be able to hear the cars coming by on route 6, but with the windows closed it will be quiet.
The unit was clean but very noisy next to highway.
My family of four stayed at the cottage in North Truro for a week with our pug. While the property has potential to be great and is a convenient location with good outdoor space, it was lacking the attention to detail and comforts of home you expect from a vacation rental. It did not meet our expectations. We had several issues/inconveniences with the property, including a major issue with the home’s only bathroom, which disrupted our vacation and required us to have to communicate with the property management group, and have maintenance and cleaning people visit the home during our stay multiple times. Pros: ample parking, charging banks provided, new AC units, close proximity to Provincetown, Days Market (great lobster roles and ice cream) a short ride down the road, pets allowed, access to bay beach across the road (dogs allowed), house is nicely decorated, beach chairs and towels provided as well as paddle boards and sit on top kayaks, large deck great for relaxing and catching sunset and sunrise, property management company responsive and will allow early check in if property is ready Cons: Road noise/traffic (Rte 6 is right behind the back deck), main bedroom has a full size bed (not queen size as described in listing), beds are on wheels and roll away from the wall, limited storage and no coat hooks by front or back door, WiFi information provided in guest book not correct and had to reach out for correct one. In addition, several items were overlooked by cleaning crew/property management company prior to arrival including a large load of towels left in the washing machine, kitchen faucet hose leak/spraying water during use, kitchen trash can lid broken, strong smell of urine in the bathroom, had to call and request door code upon arrival, fire alarm went off early morning during our stay
The house was as advertised and then some. Property Management was responsive to questions and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage at 455 Shore Rd. The home was lovely, the deck delightful and the brand new kayaks and paddle boards were fantastic—we got lots of use out of them.
Great deck.
