I have been renting with VRBO since 2010 and this was my worse experience. The property owner said NEW ORLEANS people are always the worse to deal with, that’s where we are originally from and the rental is located because we made a complaint with VRBO the next morning after arriving late the night before. Let me start by saying the owner met us outside to walk us through the house when we arrived to “explain” the house to us. This has never happened before but I was like it’s her property so her rules. When we walked in the house it had a funny smell but I thought someone did a bad mopping job with dirty water(easy fix so I let that slide) the first bedroom out of the 4 was actually a living room with a folding door(no privacy)I chose to overlook that to not be picky. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were as they appear in the photos. There is a long hallway and the first door you come across reads “NO ENTRY” and that’s because the owner, her dog and other family members live in an upstairs apartment connected to the “ESTATE” that they have access to come through. Not that big of an issue but it was not known when I booked the home. She then tells us that the pool is not being maintained so we couldn’t use it. We finally get to the master and she tells us the central air does not reach all the way back here so we have a window unit in there, again not a problem because it was cool back there until I wake up the next morning and realize there is hot air coming into the room, I pull the curtains back and see the window open and the duck that pushes the hot air out for the FLOOR unit was sticking through the window with drying towels stuffed around it with mold and mildew on the window sill as well as on the towels. I look outside at the pool area through the window and saw it was nasty back there and the water was green. I started taking pics immediately. Sat on the sofa in the living room to call VRBO and started smelling urine, it was the sofa and the pillows from her dog urinating on it. Called VRBO they put the owner and I on the phone and she said the pool was not included in the rental and if it was it would’ve been extra, which wasn’t listed in the details of the house nor was an option to pay extra for the pool but what was listed was a PLEASE NOTE: Pool will be available July 1, 2022 we rented it Sept 2022. We got our belongings and VRBO made accommodations for us. The owner refused us a refund or any kind of solution.

Our host was so amazing. She was extremely informative and gave us a home away from home feeling. This was our first trip to New Orleans and we absolutely loved our experience. I highly recommend this property.

This was one of the worse experiences I have ever had with Vrbo. My house was nasty cabinet doors falling off refrigerator didn’t work. Had three bathrooms only One of them had hot water. Owner stays at the property didn’t find This out until I got there. She was coming in and out of the house when we was there and when we was sleep and was cutting the air conditioner up and down. The master suite had mold in it, the couch smelled like a pet was sleeping on it. I’m from Chicago and she had the nerves to say she has her must problem from the people that comes from Chicago. And that’s only because you not giving them what you are advertising online. Do not stay here never

The neighborhood felt safe. However the home was not clean. The refrigerator had an awful smell. The floors were dirty the home was dusty. We had hairs on the bed sheets. The ceiling fan had large amounts of dust. We had to clean in order to be comfortable. No TVs in in every room only in the living room and master bedroom. Cable tv was limited. Also there are doors in the house that lead to an upstairs where a family member lives and that should be listed so people aren’t blind sided.
